Yeah its hard to say what exactly you were seeing, when you say seashells, do you mean like a spiral vortex kind of shell feature? Or like a little clam half-way open with two little eyes peering out at you? The latter sounds like a few little guys I had crawling around me. They were just little guys peering through the ripples in the fabric of reality.
Yes the latter! I don't know why it was so hard for me to describe. When it happened I thought I couldn't believe what I was seeing! What are those?!
I'm getting some Yopo. I absolutely have to now.

Ive used Yopo snuff twice and OP describes it perfectly. Pressure builds up in your head. I start to feel hot and have to lay down. The world explodes with fractals around me as i puke up my dinner. Come back to the 3rd dimension with a blown mind.

They are Hekula! An inherent part of reality my friend. Use more Yopo and you'll come to understand their purpose... I don't want to reveal the secret and sound crazy. Come talk to me when you see them again. They might be more elusive now that you are going to try and see them.

Its been a few days, and for some reason, I still feel "touched" by yopo. Its message is still clear with me. I wonder how long it will be before I will feel the need to revisit? I couldn't believe how "lost" I ended up in that state. So glad I made it back to "3D" as you say...

So did you roast the seeds in the oven? What temperature? Can you take us through the process?

I have not felt the need to revisit Yopo in the past 2 years.

I just heated the seeds with a lighter until the shell puffed up on both sides. At that point the shell is easy to break off and expose the seed.

Put the seeds in a pan and turn to medium or medium high. Start with the pan already hot, then put your beans in the bitch. Now, keep and eye on em, and keep them moving so they get a nice even toasting. You don't want to just sit them stagnant over high heat or you will toast/probably burn them unevenly. Flip them and make sure they all puff out (not everyone will pop like popcorn, but most will). Keep a lid partially on the pan or use a splatter screen to keep the beans from jumping away. Now, carefully remove the hulls, and finely grind the yellowish brown insides. Mix a tiny amount of water with the seed powder, then once you have a nice dough ball, start just adding little pinches of lime to the already moist doughball. Don't add too much, just enough... If using pickling lime (calcium hydroxide) use a 1:8 ratio of basifying agent/seed powder. Baking soda, idk I haven't really tried but I wouldn't go higher than 1:3, I'd probably do 1:4 ratio. Anyway, that's it for the mixing, knead it well, then flatten into a pancake and roast it in the pan another go until its dry and gotten a wee-bit darker from the second roast. What this does is "burn" off the less desirable tryptamines like dmt-oxide(?). Don't quote me on this I just know there are some things in those seeds that equate for muscle cramps, sweating, etc. You are going to vomit. That is inherent of the Bufotenine. But its just part of the trip, and worth the "cleansing".
