Cats aren't smart enough to feed people. Case closed.

They don't have to. They can find food on their own, and get fed by people.
Why on earth would a cat want to "feed people"? Does that somehow seem like a smart thing to do for the cat?

There's this study where they found that cats recognize their name when being called, but don't react because they just don't care.

I like to fuck with my cat and call him by his previous name. I think it was his fourth life. Horrible death.

Think that's cuz they'll just shit in the corner, piss on on the furniture, and go hungry while not being able to adjust to a new climate.

Really? Go hungry? What your cat didn't like your starvation diet, and payback was shitting in the corner and pissing on the furniture?

Sure, you could have made a person your avatar. But, you chose your cat that shits in the corner.

A cats brain has less raw potential than a human being's, but intelligence is not a measure of raw brain potential (aka IQ). It is the effort of casting out our perception like a fishing lure into the unknown, and from that effort, reeling in knowledge and truth. And the more knowledge and wisdom that you possess, the farther you are able to cast out the lure, and the greater your intelligence becomes.
Many people refuse to do that because their eyes and ears are shut firmly to the truth, but cats have no such capacity for self-deluding themselves or living in a fantasy, so until a human being opens their eyes and ears, the cat will have higher intelligence than the human.

think about it. when do we really feel genuinely, authentically intelligent? is it when we can recite some memorized fact and then laugh smugly in somebody else's face - or is it during those times when our wits serve us as we need them, getting out of harm's way or allowing us to perceive some new fact about something in reality which eluded us before?
cats possess intelligence, but when have you ever seen a cat arguing about the subtlties of humor in an episode of arrested development?

I don't claim to know how, or why, or if it's even true, but...
Based of of strange energies, personal experience, and recurring thought, I believe that cats might have some sort of transcendental intelligence. They are often very human-like, and I find them to be more desirable than some people

Face it. They blow most people away in terms of most things. Accept your catdom.

I have two cats. One is scared of it's own shadow. One is an asshole. They both came from a shelter. That's what I get for rescuing animals... fucked up animals. They're still pretty cool though. Very human like. Some things don't seem to scale well in terms of intelligence. As humans they would be retards, but there's some innate intelligence there. They have a sense of dignity, like to show affection, etc.
