Desirable traits discussion

Hi folks!
I am trying to spark a little discussion about desirable traits when cultivating mushrooms.
Do you try to find cultures that colonize quickly? Fruit fast? Big fruits? Small fruits? Potency? Mutants? Ugly fruits? Pretty fruits? Etc
There is no wrong answer, considering that a lot of the answers will be based on personal preference.
These answers don't have to pertain to psilocybe species, I'm interested to hear about your edibles and ornamental species too! How do you pick your prize edibles? What are your favorite ornamental species?
Don't feel shy, I'd like to hear from folks with all experience- noobs, intermediate, advanced.

Personally I just started agar and am a noob, but I've seen people mainly prioritize yield as being a favorite trait.
I'm going to be looking for high yield to begin with, to see how many oz's I get per quart of grain spawn. Next I'll look for fast colonizers that give medium size fruits.
I just don't like dealing with storing my extra large fruits in quart jars...just means storing less in the same space for me. so medium shrooms are fine =)

For cubensis, look for lots of small fruits or clusters. These provide better total yield with the added benefit that smaller mushrooms are more potent and better tasting than larger ones.
For edible gourmet mushrooms, consider taste, texture, whether the mushrooms break easily or stay intact during shipping, storage life and eye appeal. RR

Ya like RR is saying for cubes it's a good idea to clone clusters of medium sized mushies. That is a big part of the trick to getting a good, solid canopy going. I also like to look at how quickly certain mushrooms bruise at the base of the stem when they are harvested, in hope to secure the more potent genetics

Thanks for the responses to so far!
I'm glad to hear that cloning smaller clusters is considered desirable! I guess it is another one of my accidental-beneficial mistakes! I am currently colonizing my first monotub. I took a clone from this cake:

I'm hoping for good results! However, ANY results are still good for me!
I also cloned a mutant that produced more sporeless mutants. I will probably try growing these in a tub next. Here is my favorite fruit from the sporeless grow.

I am going to start some oyster cultures from some wild-found oysters.
I also picked up some cultivated king oysters from the grocery store. Even grocery store mushrooms can be cloned, correct? Just split the stem in half and put some of the inner tissue on agar, and I'm assumingi should be good to go?
