Any audiophiles out there?

Hey all!
I'm just getting into vinyl, and it's awesome! Such a cool, rich sound. I'm already looking to upgrade, but I'm in college so I have very little money to spend (yet I still want to be an audiophile... I know). I am looking to get the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable because it's a sexy player and I won't need to upgrade soon. I am also planning on the Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers. I don't know about phono preamps and amps or stereo receivers, so if someone can point me in a good direction, that'd be awesome! I'm looking to get a lot of sound quality bang for limited buck (<$150-$200 combined). Thanks!

check out the local stereo shop. they know their gear.
had an old mono General Electric record player and still can hear how the sound of a clean vinyl sounds of different quality to what not be.

I am a poor DIY enthusiast, used to hunt perfect numbers, and soldered amplifiers. Later I realized I can't really hear much difference in blind ABX tests. Still, I love to fool around with valves, cause they look nice. And psychoacoustics play huge role. I mean, I rather listen some blues with amp that glows in dark, than with some tiny/shiny box.

In my experience, the best way to get high end, "audiophile" gear is through Craigslist and user forums. Buy used, slightly older gear, and you'll get incredible bang for your buck. IMO, the basic engineering behind audio components changes very slowly, equipment takes decades to become obsolete. For example, the basic speaker design of woofers in a box has been the same for decades.
I have a B&K reference amplifier that was almost 3k when it was new in 2005-2006. Similarly, my Yamaha receiver was about $1500 new around the same time.
I paid about $800 for the set. Almost 3-4k worth of gear under a g. I got similar deals on speakers.
