Can i Grow My Jars INSIDE A tote?

My house isn't the best for growing because it's old and dusty, so can i just leave my inoculated jars inside a tote while they grow?
Also is it a bad idea to look at them often? I feel if i handle them alot there's a bigger risk of contamination]
Thanks!

You can put them in a tote if you want. If you do a sterile inoculation you don't really have much to worry about. You can just leave them out. That's what filters and verm barriers are for. Depending on what kind your doing. Pf or grains?
You can look at them. I'm assuming its your first time so you are going to look. Handle them as little as possible though.

I left my jars inside a tote while they grew for my first bulk grow.
Technically I'm still leaving them inside a tote right now because I'm incubating with franks warm titi.
Just open the tote once in a while to let some fresh air in for gas exchange. I'm assuming you mean colonizing right? Are these grain jars or PF jars?
PF jars should have a dry verm layer to filter out possible contamination and grain jars should have a filter (though polyfill and postal tyvek filters are not perfect.)
Regardless. Yes. You can leave your jars inside a tote to colonize.
Look at them as often as you want. Watch your mycelium daily and contemplate how your mycelium is in no hurry to colonize the jar, reminding you to not be in such a hurry in life, allowing things to happen at their own pace and when necessary, at yours.

100% PF tek.
Verm, BRF, water.
Not my first time....3rd time around. ...Just trying to perfect the process. A little rusty haven't grown in about a year!

If you put in a dry verm layer at least as thick as the 'thread' area of the jar you will be fine anywhere and any contamination will be from poor technique.
Still, like I said. You will not hurt your jars by putting them in a tote.
