How do you feel most of the time? 1

Personally I feel tense and down about things. No...I wouldn't call it depression because ive felt like this since I was a child. Perhaps I feel observant. I look at things in a different light.
Do any of you truly feel happy.…do you truly appreciate you're life and the freedoms you may or may not realize you have?
Or is it just that you're not content with the freedoms you have? Is that it?
Is happiness an emotion ...or is it the pursuit of happiness, that "happy" people feel. You know......that warm fuzzy feeling that truly overpowers all emotions.,,,or is that euphoria?
Euphoria: generally speaking a drug induced feeling of overall well being, comfort:joy Happiness: a general feeling of overall well being, comfort:joy
So....you tell me...what's worth more to you....happiness....or the pursuit of happiness?.

I feel as though I can't help but love life, content and generally happy. I realized long ago that I am lucky to be alive and living, fortune to be.

honestly, most of the time i am pissed off and want to kill myself or someone else. like, everything is so fucking difficult all the time when it doesn't need to be. i don't ever remember my life being so fucking difficult when i was a kid. and now i can barely get all my shit together so that i am not worrying about some shit, before it all falls apart again. and nobody helps with shit. stupid fuckers. and now it's snowing, and it takes fuckn five years to get anywhere AND it's a fuckn MESS.
hate man.
i mean i can use to get to a point where i'm giggly, but it just wears off quickly because i have to get back to my life and my shit that is falling apart all the time.
i really want a girlfriend, like someone that i can lay the love on and that likes me. but i never fuckn meet anyone single anymore, and i spent all of my college years being a frickin psycho walkn around campus with hair down my back and ONE fuckn hoodie with the TAO symbol written on it in sharpie. i mean it was totally cool, but i should've been trying to get laid and married more and stuff...
anyway... in a word - fuck.

Snoot...Was an experience involved or is it just second nature? Are all animals happy or just "content"?
How do we as just mere animals our selves know what we're feeling? Maybe one persons happy is another's sad......is perception involved? How do we know? We don't...that's the problem.Quote:

I would classify this as pursuit....no? Maybe its another error in our perception. I feel you though man...having a girl to just be with and understand me would be awesome.....but again...how would I know if that is truly happiness?

What do you feel our conscience is missing? The ability to perceive? Or is the ability to perceive so powerful that our own minds dont know what happiness is?

I tend to feel optimistic. I find there are things I can do to help me feel that way more. One being abstaining from alcohol. Another being eating lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Meditation also plays a role, and so does focusing on being kind to others and being there for them. Also early to bed, early to rise.

Again its the pursuit that makes you "happy" right?

sometimes it's pursuit that makes me happy, and sometimes it's just acceptance of how it all is.

Too be perfectly honest, I've been fortunate enough to have had a series of incredibly profound psychedelic experiences, DMT & mescaline to be exact have given me this intense lust for life. Some psychedelic experiences can be so transcendental that they can alter the very fabric of morality, most times these effects subside after the drugs ware off, but for me I feel that these feelings are something that I for the life of me cannot shake. I cant stand under the sun and feel the same, I feel natures energy riddling every pore of my body. Anyone can do drugs, but when done properly they can be absolutely beautiful and change the way you feel about everything.

So is acceptance the key...or is it delusion....or are they one in the same? Just why. Just stop and ask yourself why.

Acceptance of delusion. Delusion of acceptance.

You find this funny? Explain. Is it a conundrum....perhaps.....but how do you perceive it? Can you tell me different?

I think I generally feel exceptionally positive and happy most of the time. I can be pretty bitter sometimes but even then I'm generally fairly light-hearted about it I think.
So I'd say I'm usually happy, and like really really philosophical. Like I think in very loose terms and I'm not very opinionated at all
