Nice find! Cloning doesn't work with Amanita muscaria because it is ectomycorrhizal. That means it only grows with its tree host and can't simply be grown like Psilocybe cubensis. Yours looks like Amanita muscaria var. persicina

I suggest frying the cap well in butter with your favorite herbs/spices. Then perhaps cut it up over a salad. If this is your first time consuming, start with 1/4 to 1/2 of the cap.

This is my first time. Are there any side effects negative kinds like upset stomach I should know about, so I do not misinterpret them as something else?

Upset stomach, vomitting, diarrhea, excessive salivation and a few other symptoms are possible which is why starting with a small dose is wise.

Thank you for telling me, I think I'll pass on this one, is there anything I can do with this sample that will directly help mycology, or the shroomery community? I just don't want to toss it out its so perfect, I wish I could freeze it in time or something. Maybe send it to a lab or something that can use it?

Not really, its probably worth trying at least a bite or two cooked up, they're supposed to taste really good.

Well if there is nothing else that I can do with it I might as well taste it and make a record of the side effects I feel. Thanks for the help you guys.

I start feeling like I will be sick if I eat more at 3-4 nibbles of the cap raw, I haven't had a chance to cook them yet. If you take it slow you probably should know when to stop before you get sick.

i think they taste great fried in olive oil, slice them and wait till they are about half dry and then fry em till they start to crisp. lil pepper and pinch of garlic at the end and mmmmm. i never eat a lot at a time generally a half or three quarters of one depending on the size of the cap. and i started with way less at first. i like the sleepyness

I powder mine and cook up the powder in some scrambled eggs. Just a half to a full teaspoon (the smaller spoon lol) gives me lots of energy before a good hunt beautiful Amanita by the way OP!
