He could have come in for one series, all quick release passes. IF they knew. Way to go NFL.
Another major fuckup probably kept Pittsburgh out of the playoffs. KC trying to kick a field goal and SD has 7 men on the line on one side of the snapper. KC would have gotten another kick 5 yards closer. I think the reason why that call is not reviewable is because they thought nobody could possibly blow that call.

The NFL said the record will stand. They hire the Elias Sports Bureau as their official statisticians, and Elias said under the circumstances, it would be fairer to let the mark stand.

to be fair, brees sat out the 4th quarter too.
im not saying the record should be taken away from manning, but this just kind of seems like that episode from King of the Hill where the kid who was set to break his record was basically given the record as a gift.
stats are stats, and yes manning could have broken brees' record even if both played all quarters of every season... but it will forever be marred by an asterisk even if it is there or not.

Only to saints fans.
He broke the record yall have to go back and find some little tick tacky bullshit to even make an argument of it. Broncos pass attack this year was the best in NFL history, simple as that.

not really NFL history... the broncos schedule is quite possibly the easiest schedule in history. the hardest team they BEAT this year was what... the eagles? the hardest team they played was the patriots.
as for ranking their opponents pass D, 10 of their games were against the bottom 3rd of the NFL. if you add up the rankings of opponents pass D = 339. Saints in 2011 had 314.
Like I said, I am not trying to take anything away from manning, he is a phenomenal QB and he deserves the record, but lets not start saying they are the greatest offense of all time. I don't even think the saints fans had the audacity to claim that in 2011.

I just went through a Bleacher Report top ten all time offenses but it didn't include my choice. That old Steelers offense with Bradshaw, Swann, and Franco Harris.
The BR had the 2011 Saints at the one spot

Excuses, excuses.
Funny that talks of weak schedules and defenses coming from a saints fan.

DAMN! The high temperature in green bay this weekend is supposed to be 0 degrees F, and the low -18 degrees F. I don't think the 49ers, from sunny California, can play in that weather. What are your thoughts? How much of an advantage is that cold weather going to be?

I don't give a fuck if you're from Antarctica that kind of weather don't favor anyone except us fuckers at home getting all hard watching those rich fucks suffer.
I will say, seriously, that crazy weather favors a running game so SF gets an edge, IMO.

Zero degrees being the high for the day though, that's fucking nuts. Got to be one of the coldest playoff games ever.

Single digits suck but you get acclimatized after living in an arctic hellhole. Wind is what makes the cold unbearable.

But he spends his winters in one of the coldest places in the states. If you grew up in Nome Alaska but play for the chargers cold weather will still fuck you over.
Im not doubting the badasses on SF at all. We will see how the drama queen pretty boys like crabtree and Kaep hold up, emphasis on boys because thats what they are. 49ers should win, I’m pulling for Green Bay though.

When has Kaep ever done anything to be called a drama queen? He's the calm one who tries to prevent fights on the field, and always says the right thing to the press.

I was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. Was used to cold ass winters.
Now it gets 30 here in Washington and it feels just as cold. You definitely acclamize so rodgers should be more used to it going into the game rather than the 9ers.
