Once you start picking Copelandia cyanescens you will notice a lot of differences between them, one notable one is the bluing in the copelandia genera, and then the thick stems of P. antillirum and exceptional white edged gills of antillirum, there may not a be a microscopical difference, I don't look at them under a microscope!,I'm telling you, for me the smell/scent and other key elements make Copelandia distinct, especially the blueing that Antillirum will never have.-peace

No shit bruising is a key to pan Cyans. You don't sound very experienced and I bet I've collected more active pans than you've seen, antillirums are almost identical

Hey everyone I live in Florida too and I am really interested
in going and hunting for some mushrooms. I recently just
found my first cube and it was a pretty exiting moment.
I have to ask though how do you guys find good cow fields?
If you do find a cow field then how do you deem it safe
to go and roam around in?

I suppose im either lucky, or just skilled in locating what I consider safe Cow fields, I have two fields, one of which I am personal friends with the owner/farmer, and I have full permission to use his land for "mycology" all I want  , and there is no hunting there. The best way to be cautious of Deer hunters and farmers, is to be stealthy, and also smart about the way you hunt. There is no fool-proof method, you must explore, and discover for your self, just always be safe!Got any questions feel free to PM me -Good luck, and keep shrooming!

-Peace

Okay bro, I didn't know we were having a contest to see who's picked the most Pans..also your statement is nothing more than a mere assumption, I've been picking and hunting and identifying Cubes and Pans for almost four years.Besides, that's irrelevent to the fact that I DO know what I'm talking about. I was just trying to help bro,but appearently there's nothing I know that you Don't already know, -have a nice day

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

We're just playin man. We get to differ in opinion. In the end the mushrooms speak for themselves while we just deal with words and pictures on here when it's not our own hunts.

No worries man, sometimes misunderstandings happen, its no big deal.I always try to not bruise the mushrooms to much- wouldn't wanna lose potency through any oxidation!,
-peace
P.s. I'm gonna go hunting in the next day or two and I will share pics of my finds

Yes it is!!!

I have already produced from their spores a nice little batch of cakes. They will be rolled and popped into the fruiting chamber.
Nothing better than just picking them in a cow pasture.
But this tek will do.

Wish me luck! This will be third generation Fl. CROW

Nice little haul of cyans today! Seems the cubes have stopped growing in my field already, tons of cyans though. There was so many more I didn't pick. I already started drying them before I took this picture.

Found one shroom while fishing that blued today and had to get it. Have no idea and have been trying to id it. It was found off a lake shore by some old rotten oak logs and out of cow dung. Its been raining like crazy here so I think its super water logged and it has pores not gill. Any idea?
