Those look tasty. What is the white stuff that looks like snow, sand, ash? What area are you in, without specifics of course? This is amping me up for a planned hunt coming up, thanks for the colorful chanterelles and enjoy devouring them.

It's sand - found these in central FL near Gainesville

This thread sucks *ss right now, I know for a fact there are cubes in the fields. Is there a Nark alert or something, where is all the mushroom porn I've become accustom to?
I'll be going out soon to remedy this problem.
Also, last summer was a way better season. I had several days where my back pack was so full I had trouble humping it out.

Cubes? there are thousands of other species out there...
Mycena sect. Sacchariferae

Clavulina sp.

Gymnopilus sp., possibly G. palmicola (found on dead sabal palm)

Gymnopilus sp., possibly G. luteoviridis (on live oak)

Lately it's just been too hot last time I went out to the field I decided it would just be easier to start cultivating cubes again

Can I please get an ID on the very last image in the top row and the first image in the bottom row? These are everywhere where I live. Its ridiculous. Spongey gills, yellow on the stem and gills and a red cap. Heres another image, although these look very aged:

I am seeing these in residential areas in grass, not particular close to a tree. Also saw them growing in red mulch under bushes, but not by a tree.
Here is another image of the species I'm looking for:

Some are. Others are toxic. Also remember that Bolete reffers not only to Boletus, but to several related genera.

I definitely need a good camera, I would have some great pictures for everyone on here right now.. This year is one of the best season I have got to experience.
The field I go to is loaded with cubes and blue meanies this year, when last year there was no trace of cubes and only blue meanies. I mean, yeah meanies are more potent but when I find a nice cube growing I get a special feeling inside
