Hey guys just wonering if you can take a look at what I got going down so far. I only did 3 cause I wanted to try and get this method down and not waste any more. The first time I did it all jars got contaminated and the 2nd time no mushrooms fruit idk what happened there... Anyways Any tips would be appreciated, I know its kinda cold in one of the picture down there. Im trying to get my room to the 72-74 degree range but it gets fucking hot in my room sometimes haha.

Also I feel like im ready to do bulk grow now what do you guys think is the best method for first time doing a bulk grow? I have 5ml of spores left and one more jar that took about 2 weeks to start colonizing but other than that its going great its almost done.

cut the foil size back just big enough for them to sit on and maybe move the cakes closer to each other i suck at bulk so wait for someone else on that

mix that one cake with pasteurized 50-50 coir/verm mix, u can go with a 1-3 ratio quick "past" method: pour boiling water over the mix, let it cool down, squeeze out the excess water, when squeezed it should only release a few drops of water, but not running.. use a plastic container, once mixed cover it with a foil for a week at least when fully colonized u can put it in the FC beside the cakes

Get more verm on them when you roll them around man. Don't spoon it over them, acutally roll those fuckers around in verm till they're covered. Then wait a bit before you spray them..it helps keep the verm on. That layer of verm is importatnt for keeping the microclimate close to the cakes.
plaese disregard all my dyslexic typing...having one of those days...
edit...i dont see any holes in that fc...give us a pic of your setup and we'll be able to help you better...

I was away on vacation when they started to sprout in my jars so I had my roommate do the dunk and roll. They were in water for 24 hours. Yes my FC does not have holes and i know it needs them but he already put it all together I am just making sure to fan them out every couple of hours.
Also thats why I have it cracked a little bit. I just mist it down whenever the humidity drops. Is it okay if I just mist the whole thing even the cakes themselves? Ive heard both sides people saying you can and cant.

I have wild bird seed. So can I just prepare that in the normal way and knock them up with the ground up cakes? About how many jars a 1/2 pint (i think thats right) will knock up? Its pretty much colonized the entire jar, I heard that you can take pins off of it to knock up jars too that way?

i woudldn't use cakes for grain inoculations unless i had proper filters on my cakes and no dry verm barrier

do u want to do grain to grain in order to have more spawn? or u want to go bulk?
wbs is a spawn material, like brf+ verm, u sterilize these and inoculate with spores
coco coir, hpoo, straw, vermiculite are substrate materials u mix them with the fully colonized spawn to get higher yields

If i were you, i'd take those cakes out of that FC, or tub, and put them in a pot or somthing temporarily till you get your holes drilled. Then soak the perlite and put'em back. I think you might be able to monotub that since there are no holes in it; and have it work as well, but i've never done one so i can't say. I think monos are usually used for bulk. You've only got three cakes, so maybe pick up a smaller FC and do some drilling (SGFC). You can always keep the smaller one for later grows when you suspect contams or whatnot and still want to fruit a cake on it's own.
They need fresh air, and evaporation to pin, and even though you've got some pins, i think they'll do a lot better
