Listening to silly people
    #19358059 - 01/02/14 11:50 AM (10 years, 29 days ago)

I was sitting at work listening to a few dude talking about drugs and such. I didn't join in because I don't run my mouth about things plus I don't do shit anymore. LSD came up and dude was all my back hurt really bad last time, too much strychnine lol then goes on how shrooms are a joke and so mellow compared to acid lmao. Why?

Why don't shrooms get respect? Why does everyone say they got strychnine laced LSD? Why 10 years later when they popped their backs they magically trip again? Ya know the usual silly stuff

LOL i totally know what you mean. I bite my tongue when I hear people spreading misinformation about drugs because I tend  to get super argumentative. It's just one of my pet peeves that i'm trying to work on. Once to get ta talking people start to realize I know WAY too much about drugs than the average person should.

because some people are assholes and let their egos get in the way of common sense, among other things

I don't think it has to do with people being assholes or having egos or a lack of  commonsense. It's mainly just a lack of drug experience and the misinformation/propaganda that entails that.

It's funny that the strychnine myth still gets repeated today after decades of zero supporting evidence. Why would anyone want to add strychnine to LSD even if they had it on hand for some reason?

Someone with lack of drug experience that talks about drug experience is being led by his ego to engage in conversations without knowledge of what he's talking about...which would also be lack of common sense...I think our egos are responsible for much more than we can imagine.

that word strychnine really induces fear into me. that totally ruined an LSD trip for me BIG TIME. 3 tabs of pure agony.

I got into a huge argument with my moms husband about drugs a few days ago. I walked around every single one of his arguments and pointed out how hypocritical his stances are and he wouldn't have any of it. After a while all I could do was this.

While telling him how right he was

I recall  I was on a train to visit my sister who just recently was offered a chance to tour around Europe for the next 6 months. Well anyways, I was reading an article about her recent success on a European tour when all of a sudden someone tapped on the window of my compartment to apparently discuss something. My friend saw him when he left his compartment door all the way at the end & walked our way. This was something ordinary that he would do, he thought everyoen had a similar opinion on approaching people on trains.  I saw him walk into another groups compartment & mention something.

Well apparently he quit his job as a dentist & was on this train to get to Africa. There was a african tribe that he was bound to meet soon enough, they would chant messages & try to indoctrinate other people to follow their ways. The train was heading to Europe but we thought we might arrive in France first. You could see everyone on board was anxiously anticipating the moment we are greeted by European travel guides to show us around.

The person that came into our compartment was insisting that we discuss drugs, and as he asked this I tried to read the expression on my companions face to see if he'd rather pass or talk about them. He was quite picky in what topics he discussed, especially topics that might give him ideas when he got to Europe. Plus his sisters best friend who was touring with her for similar reasons decided to cancel her tour & wouldn't have another one for atleast 7 years when she was presented the opportunity again. He had the notion that drugs were rather a trite subject to bring up & would normally withhold from mentioning anything pertaining to drugs. He would let the people around him discuss drugs, but he himself would put up his hand as if to suggest some subtle hint that his taste might prevent him from inserting whatever adventures he's had on them.

Sometimes you pump out ok stuff, great stuff even, but I have to hold back telling you that because it always leads to you posting a torrent of incoherent nonsense. Please don't do that this time.

Because some people are too lazy to do any actual fact checking and they just repeat what they hear from other people who talk straight out of their ass. :dawerp:
