I have 8 seeds from a quarter of schwag I bought and would like to plant them in April when the season is right. How hard will this be if they have adequate light and decent soil?

Not hard. Pinch test em or float test the seeds and plant. The later in the season the better the weed will be and if you take care of em and cull the males the weed will be significantly better and probably unrecognizable compared to the schwag you got the seeds from initially. Cannabis, especially the no-name big field schwag varieties, is very forgiving.

Expect some stretch as more than likely if it was Schwizz it was a sativa or bigger land race variety.

yep not hard at all, I've grown some really dank crystally buds from mids.
to give u an idea how forgiving they actually are
i germinated a seed and planted it beneath a pine tree in my back yard. didn't even water it i just stuck a germinated seed in dirt, didnt even dig a hole or anything, but it rained the next day so a plant ended up popping up. in fact 3 did but i acidentally mowed over 2 of them when i was drunk. anyway.. that plant could not have gotten more than like 2 maybe 3 hours of sun a day.. it was completely blocked by shade from the pine tree for the most part
i live in southwest ohio in the glaciated plateau, the soil is full of lime and clay and just overall shitty. good for soybeans and corn but not for pot plants. i decided i'd let this plant just do it's thing and never water it or anything - i wanted to see what a wild plant could do. it was a hot summer and we ended up having a drought, several days of 100+ degree temperatures. ohio is also 90-100% humidity in the summer.
against all odds this little mid plant grew a little over a foot tall and yielded a whopping 5 grams dried. i even picked it a little premature but you couldn't tell it from some of the best indoor buds. there was a lot of THC on it and i was quite surprised what a wild uncared for plant can do. i just imagine if it had actually gotten sun it would be the same but way taller and higher yield.
my guess the only way to grow schwag is by having a field full of plants that got pollinated by males and then was dried poorly, uncured, and hardly manicured. schwag is probably full of mold and i wouldn't doubt that's some of the brown you see in it.
if you take care of ur plants you'll most definitely have something you'll be pleased with.

They are some of the best seeds honestly. People who pay hundreds of dollars for feminized seeds are the ones who don't have access to mids with seeds. Why do you think strain hunters go picking in fields of native plants, they have stable genetics that make them stronger. Just like a doberman vs a mutt, the doberman looks better, but more often than not has health issues. Just make sure you are getting mids and not ditch weed ruderalis or something closer to hemp.
