7.5 grams of Hollandia truffles
    #19357527 - 01/02/14 07:59 AM (10 years, 29 days ago)

New Years' Eve. Being in Amsterdam, I figured I'd celebrate with some nice truffles. Bought 15 grams of Hollandia and some Syrian Rue. Then the friend I'm taking them with tells me she's never taken Syrian Rue before and she's not comfy taking it now, without research. So we decide to just split the truffles. Chewed them up.

40-50 mins later, things start happening. Wavy things. Liquid. Good vibes too. Friend is all giggly, far out in her own fantasies. I start interacting with the mush intelligence, and it starts explaining: You must understand that the primate body you're currently inhabiting, all of the dry land life you see around you, all of this is an experiment / exploration / expedition, from long ago, when "we" were still down there in the ocean. See? in the water, you constantly move in a certain way, like this (showes me how whales and dolphins and fish and others, wave through the water with specific movements of the spine).

This movement has a psychological component to it. It's very fun and chill and keeps you processing data (your environment) in certain ways. We had no idea if this kind of fun existence is possible on dry land, because the required movement is so different, so many aeons ago, we figured let's try. And developed bodies that could stand and crawl on dry land, and sent you forth to test how it is out there. Well? How is it? Is it fun? Was it worth it? You should bring back some free food every once in a while, I mean after all you DO come from the oceans

"I" spend quite some time being a dolphin, whale, other oceanic things, exploring the inner ocean, remembering what it was like before we switched from gills to lungs, from swimmers to legs and fingers. It becomes obvious that we're quite picky and rigid when mentioning ancestors, that we only consider a short while, and we identify only with species that closely resemble us, although we've been many others, and keep a lot of genetic code from those times. I feel that it's great to have my frame of reference liquefied in this way, my vocabulary and definitions squeezed and stretched long and wide.

I look through the many other experiments that were here on the planet, like the dinosaurs and the stromatolites and everything in between. Everything has a time and a place, and the game will continue as long as it's great fun, and change in whatever direction is more fun to explore. Whether it's nuclear wasteland or green utopia, makes very little difference. There's great fun in exploring both. There's no need to cling to one type of existence over another. Even if this whole galaxy or universe were one day burned up in some cataclysm, the multiverse is long and wide and varied, and never will we (as awareness) run out of fun things to explore. So explore

I float around on the inside of my body, now a colorful cave with liquid walls. The music sounds fascinating, and I'm not sure whether the song is like that, or the mushroom is adding extra sounds to what I'm hearing.

New Years' rolls along. A wildfire of rockets, fireworks, poppers and whistlers are being set off everywhere. Explosions that sound like full on grenades set off car alarms and huge clouds of smoke. Fireworks like I've never seen before look like UFOs roaming the sky. This is complete and utter bat country.

I see paintings after paintings, animations, environments, hours and hours of inner exploration. I go to sleep, and spend the whole of next day still seeing and processing visuals. I sometimes wonder what would have happened if I had taken a full box, and maybe with some MAOI as well. Only one way to find out

Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.

For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it,
and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
