After taking psychedelic, do you feel like it has made your life a lot better living?

Hi, was wondering if there's anyone here who would say that psychedelics made them enjoy living life or made it seem a lot better than it was prior to ever tripping before.
I wonder if it's able to finally make some people who feel nothing with the world, like a robot, alive again. Perhaps, those differences can make your whole world go from black and white to lively and in colors again.
Not necessarily a question for anyone who has used psychedelics to help with their mental illness, but in general.
Are you glad you tripped in the first place? Was there a reason why you wanted to trip in the first place?

I have always felt that psychedelics take us out of our comfort zone which in turn makes one really ponder existence and one's place in this insane reality. Psychedelics are very contemplative in nature. The fact that everything that we see during a trip tends to be very complex and strange, leads to deep contemplation of many things in life that most people don't ever really think about. So after such an extended deep thought experience, after accepting the good and bad in life, one will feel enlightened. Hence the popularity of psychedelics among the hippie community .
-------------------- The understanding from which only the most enlightened of people possess is the key to evolution beyond this physical reality.

If not for psychedelics I would still be a pretty confused person. I had always wondered what the purpose of life is. I got that question answered and more. I have a strong idea of what reality is and that helps me to enjoy life a lot. It DID add color to my once gray existence.

is beautiful! And me too, it added much color and helped fill in alot of the blanks for me! And i't can for you too if you allow it to do so. Once you figure out how to let it do so you will be able to do anything.

Yes, however they made me less materialistic which angers my dad who thinks I should just try to make as much money as possible. They made me more content and realize that working really hard to make a ton of money is not all that important because you could just enjoy life and make a smaller amount of money. I used to want to work my ass off, get super stressed most likely and go to medical school but now I am thinking of other stuff. Both take far less schooling and I plan to move to the middle of nowhere when I'm older so you don't need much money. I wanted to trip because I thought it would expand my mind and let me connect with my brain and central nervous system. I am very glad I tripped because during my first trip It felt like a haze was lifted away from my mind and I could finally see reality clearly without deceptions created my un-tuned people. I realized that a lot of the stuff people worry about and think is important is really stupid. I remember watching people driving in their cars all stressed out thinking they look like their on drugs, not me, because it seemed so crazy. It really is crazy to be super materialistic, its not like its going to make you any happier or feel better. I now invest my money in health supplements, and psychedelic drugs.

By far. My life had a lot of meaning beforehand but the first time I tripped put everything into a completely different aspect. Best part was I became less of an asshole afterward ahha, I wasn't really a true asshole I just picked on people and shit when I'm in a group to get a laugh. I feel like the more I trip the more intact I become with myself (unless I start overdoing it), I can still be a dick sometimes though but who isn't ahha.
I know it sounds like a far stretch but it's almost like I look at life as more of a beautiful thing rather than just 'something that happened' now...kinda know what I mean? I don't take it for granted as much and I respect it and the others along for the ride more than I had before.

Less materialistic, get a job that you are happy at and can survive on, this is the reason I beleive the U.S. government made these "dangerous" substances illegall! And as far as making my life more enjoyable, as a young man, NO, I used them to try to escape reality, as a 36 year old I now try to find a meaning in it, look for the secret passages, find the trapdoors, as someone's sig I read says something like! So yes,I do find they make my life more enjoyable and now it is an everyone once in a while thing, compared to every weekend for years!

It's changed my entire attitude toward life. I am simply happier now, I don't feel lost in life, I have a great understanding of what this experience is supposed to be about. Life is good That's something I had a hard time saying before psychedelics came into my life.

I'm always glad when I've tripped.
Mushrooms have changed my life in many ways, and even though that can be a mixed blessing (the kind of things you learn mostly) I wouldn't have it any other way.
And there's what they do for the senses - they open your eyes, ears, and mind to the greater reality all around; while at the same time they put you right square in the middle of it, where you belong. It's hard to beat that.
If you've never grown them you really don't know what's missing from your life.

I've only tripped once, most of the things I was being shown, I partially already knew but haven't confirmed in my subconcious mind. Many things have been "confirmed" for me resulting in me being more content with my life, the feeling is just amazing anyway, the feeling of being alive

I can feel joy and see good things in myself now. So that would be a definite yes. Though I won't deny they can make things iffy too, but those are smaller problems than I started with so I'll take it

I'm also one of those who appreciate life more since trying psychedelics. I'm a firm believer that they have the power to change a person for the best though the real challenge lies beyond this change and into adjusting to this new outlook.
It's a blessing in disguise to me. It turned me into a misantropic bastard, but I wouldn't want it any other way although I am working hard at finding a balance between what I call '' hyper-consciousness '' and going with the flow and enjoying myself, life and people. What I mean by hyper-consciousness is being extremely self aware but also seeing through cultural bullshit which makes it hard to connect with most people since you simply cannot enjoy and get behind what floats their boats. Like I said, I wouldn't want it any other way, because I used to be like that: spend most of my time playing video games, watching movies, eating junk food and being an all around entertainment addict but unlike all my used-to-be friends, after trying psychedelics, over time, I changed. Nowadays I spend most of my time by myself (which is sometimes difficult ), studying ( I went back to school ), reading to learn new stuff, working out and gardening. I do think it takes something more than psychedelics to get there though, otherwise anyone who uses them would become '' enlightened '' and it is not really the case. Thus, the question becomes, what is that something??
I guess I kinda make it look pathetic... I'm hardly a poster child for the positive use of psychedelic drugs. I'm more of an old grumpy bastard, but it's not as bad as I make it seem. I did have a girlfriend until recently, I'm appreciated at work ( because my work ethic is second to none ) and I'm as healthy and fit as can be. So I guess, like I said earlier, it's all about finding balance between being aware of the bullshit and being happy to simply be.

Yes, I had a very rigid closed off personality before. I was always distanced from people. But Psychadelics helped me be a lot more open and sponteneous.. and spontinaeity helped me feel really happy (even when I wasn't using psychadelics)... It was something I could take with me... I was diagnosed with mental illness after psychadelics (and I probably had it before... they say you are born with mental illness) but I always look fondly upon my previous drug use and believed it helped me

Holy shit you sound exactly like me down to your activities, except I don't garden (although I thought about it recently). That is so crazy. I suppose that's proof that psychedelics do change the way you act.
