A half O lasted me two months. after that it was a month... after that i knew it was time to slow down.

I was an all day every day smoker. Then I switched to only at night. If your roasting a bowl first thing in the morning of course your going to be unmotivated. Now I smoke pretty sporadically generally just when offered. if I buy an 1/8 it will easy last me a month. Kind of just grew out of it

If you're just smoking weed it won't.
I smoke way more than any of you claim to, and I can stop no problem. I get none of the negative effects you guys are talking about. I know that they happen, I just find it surprising you guys are having issues with as little as you smoke in comparison with myself and most of my friends.
It's easy to quit though. I'd be in a little more pain, and sleep less if I quit, that's all though. And the only thing that fucks with my sleep without weed is dreams. Dreaming sucks.

I did the smoke erry day shit for the first two years I had a medical card. Life seemed to come to a stand still because I didn't want to do anything that required effort or a great deal of attention. Also, when you're perpetually stoned, the magic of it fades pretty quick.
I've brought my consumption down to about 2-3 times a week and mostly nights only. A gram lasts me about a week now that my tolerance has been brought to pretty much ground level. And it's so much easier on the pocket than when I would be smoking an 1/8 every 2-4 days.

I really want to debunk the smoking vs productivity debate. I'm actually getting fucking sick of hearing this propaganda bullshit.
know your limits, know how to use.
no offense to you schwarg, I just get tired of this stereotype.

I'm not saying it's true for everyone, but most people I know who get blazed 24/7 (and me when I would) wouldn't be doing much but sitting on their ass in the living room watching adult swim.

That's how I am if I don't have anything to do. But, if I need to get something done, or I have the opportunity to do something I like to do, being stoned doesn't stop me.

I tend to use it more like a stress reduction medication. i always smoke before work. as someone in the restaurant industry, its not the patrons that stress me the fuck out. its usually my boss or coworkers!!!
anyways that's a reallllllllly general description of my life, so take that with a grain of salt.

I'm very skinny and I smoke and eat a shitload. However, some days I eat enough to where the next day I don't need to eat much
Seriously. And wiz khalifa. And that fat kid in my school who started smoking 3 times a day and shed POUNDS
Chronic weed smoking def does something for your digestion/metabolism/appetite
At all the other posters: Its the new year. Happy new year ya'll! Now use that as an excuse to begin new habits
My new year's resolution was 3-4 times a week. Only through the vaporizer. No more, no less. I think I can stick to that. I think it will allow me to relax on weeknights and also not b just a weekend toker. Also, it will prevent me from being a daily smoker. LOL i put a lot of thought into the number of 3-4 times a week

Try quitting for a little while and see how you feel. I quit like a month ago and am loving it. It's not a big deal.

piece of advice; get a vape
It wont fix your sex drive but it will help your lungs and money. It did for me. but i am still quitting for the motivation and sex drive reasons

I've had a great time with MJ and made some great friends and memories but at this time in my life I need drive and motivation to accomplish my goals and weed is just holding my back.

My main issue with habitually smoking cannabis is the lack of motivation and the general haze that is overlaid on one's perception. If you exist in that haze for long enough, you forget it's there. But once you give yourself a chance to get sober you notice how much more clear and lucid your perception is, and your awareness is able to penetrate deeper into your consciousness as a result.
Quitting cannabis mostly helps my meditation, my sociability, and my overall drive towards leading a productive life.
I smoked habitually (at least three times a day) for close to ten years; with only about 3 instances where I gave myself longer than a month to sober up.
More recently I put down the pipe and picked up the opiates. Transferred addictions (mental, though the opiates quickly became physical), and then got clean from opiates.
Opiates are harder to quit but the consequences are more prevalent so you have a much greater driving factor to quit.
I wouldn't recommend what I did to anyone; and it wasn't even initially planned, but it's worked well enough for me.
