slow colonozation, too close to vents

I have some rye jars near full colonization but their moving extremely slow (from multispore its been almost 6 weeks) Theres no signs of contams & their growing slowly but the myc looks real weak. Towards the bottom the myc is getting nice & thick & im seeing rhizo growth but there are small uncolonized spots that are colonizing painfully slow. I can see moisture in the jars near the top on all of them so i know their not completely dry but the problem is the cabinet i have them in is close to a heating duct. I didnt think it would be a problem at first but today i checked them while the furnace was running & the outside of the jars was warm to the touch, leading me to believe the slow colonization has been due to the heat inside the jars being too high.
Temperature in the room stays between 71 & 72 at all times, could my grains in those slow spots be too dried out & is it still possible for them to finish quickly in a spot farther from a vent?

This sometimes happens, at least with BRF.
I had three jars that were almost fully colonized and they struggled to cover the entire jar. I left it consolidating for three weeks and still was not able to 100% it, so I decided to just move on and prepare bulk trays. When I started to break the cakes, the mycelium was to the very core of the cakes. This probably means that the mycelium was "tired" and struggling to get to that area (many factors can affect it.)
Just make sure you dunk them for a good 24 hours and then proceed with whatever method of growth you have planned. I proceeded with coir and the tray is colonizing very fast. No need to freak out If you have no contaminants you are fine.

he is doing grains, post a pic but it's not that uncommon for a few grains to dry out on top

Tops are not really the area thats slow. Theres a few single grains partially uncolonized on top but really its patches on the sides & the bottom that are slow. Most of those areas i can see weak myc slowly taking over but it hasnt thickened up or its slowly moving in on the uncolonized spots. I ruled cobweb out because its been so long & it seems like it woulda been covered by now
My camera sucks but ill post some pics asap

2 were shaken 4 days earlier than the other 2 so their a bit behind. The fully colonized looking ones have small spots around the bottom of the jar or middle that arent fully colonized. Theres a little at the top but its nothing id worry about. The second pic is to show the condensation. Camera is shitty so u cant really see the rhizomorphic spots but they are there.

Does it look like moving away from heat will speed up colonization? Anyone?

sounds fine just make sure you give it a sniff before you use them, sometimes the grains get pressed up on th glass and get a little wet due to condensation.

U mean theyll be wet so they myc looks weak or cant be seen? Im confused. Im more concerned about the spots not colonizing because the growth is so slow. I wasnt sure theyd finish but i guess time will tell

can't find it but basicly yes the grain gets pressed up against the glass and the myc has a hard time colonizing it but it's not much of an issue, you can shake the jar up and see if it recovers and that should help

I think ill just wait. Im a little weary of shaking too much. I shook pretty early which would explain the thin myc. Their all pretty much solid chunks of spawn at this point.
