cleaning large amounts of grain

I have a question I can't seem to find answer for.
how do you guys like RR who grow a LOT of fungi clean your grains prior to sterilization? I personally use a large pot or 5 gal bucket and put all the dry grains in that, fill up with water, stir, then pour through strainer . And repeat until runoff water is clear. there's got to be an easier way to do this. its seriously the most labor intensive part of this hobby for me.
What do you guys who go colossal or go home do?

I obviously don't have as much experience ass guys like RR but I have developed a little trick for rinsing more WBS than my strainer will handle.
I simply fill a large pot with WBS and water in my bath tub and prop up one side so the pot sits slightly higher on one side. I then turn on the tap just enough to stir up the grains without forcing them out of the pot. Most of the dirt, twigs, sunflower seeds and what have you will float to the top and run out of the pot. I let it sit like that for about and hour ocasionaly stirring up the grains with a large spoon.
I still rinse and strain after but not nearly as much.

An old window screen is astronomically better than a spaghetti strainer. For one, I never found a strainer smaller than millet, and two, a window screen allows you to prepare at least 12 quart jars worth at a time. Even that's not enough for me anymore. I need to prepare 20 spawn bags so I think I'm just gonna put a screen over my bathtub drain and let it run for a couple hours.

That would work good for drying as well...

WTF Cronicr. You're just now telling us about this? What else you got? Lol Thanks for another great idea.
Off Topic. Maybe Cronicr, frank, pasty, and whoever else they think. Should put together a "tips to make shit easier" thread. Lol I'm sure there is a better name but you get the idea. A thread with some of those guys shortcuts. With the three or more ways altogether, people can try to find what works for them. Obviously this would be for the people confident in there techniques.

lol it's just a sweater drying rack there like ten bux on amazon, they even have hanging ones, whats in the pic is actually drying grains for rinsing i stack all three layers in the tub and blast the shower on, for draining i also just blast them with hot water let them drain for ten minutes then take them apart and put one each stack over it's own tote with one of these at the bottom
toss for a couple minutes and shut it off and load my jars, if i'm using gypsum i just simmer and dump themon and they dry themself

I switched to 5 gal bucket from the screen thing.. or use a combination of the two. its faster and you don't waste shit loads of water. well , you do but atleast it's not running the water the whole time.
I suppose ill have to come up with something involving a 55 gal drum or two, a screen, and something like a small concrete vibrator. you could have a drain on the very bottom of 55 g barrel and a screen like 8 inches up. fill it up with grains and water, vibrate for a few seconds and all the dust and crap should strain out, drain all the water and repeat.
I will come up with a device soon.
And to magickspore, there are tons of threads like the one you speak. have you never looked at the 'your favorite and most informative links' sticky at the top of this forum? look up posts by transcendinglife, agar, large dose, doc t, monster Mitch, magash, fooman, damion 5050, hippiechick, hamloaf, roadkill, etc. I know there are loads more but there are some.
