You know, the young kids who are intentionally homeless, just travel around in groups hitchkiking and hopping freight trains. Spend their money all on booze or drugs or both. Dumpster dive for food, wear dirty clothes. Yea, how do I get into one of those groups?
like these kids http://occupiedusa.wordpress.com/2011/11/25/the-taxonomy-of-train-riders/

How ambitious of you. If drunken runaway children figured it out, I am sure you will too. Start by learning the major train routes and buying a fat sack of meth and a knife.

It aint difficult to become an oogle.
Buy a bottle of booze. Find a group of them. Offer to drink with them. No matter how different you appear to be, they WONT turn down free booze.
before you know it you'll come to with your dick in some fat and tatted drugged up slut with a dreadhawk under a bridge.

I've kinda been there. Not quite train-hopping gutter punk living on the streets, but broke travelling schoolbus-dwelling (and at times street-sleeping) hippie. There was a fair amount of crossover between the two groups.
It can definitely be fun for awhile. One hell of a life experience. I think I'd stay away from the train-hopping aspect in particular though, shit can be dangerous as fuck for a plethora of reasons.
If you decide to go through with it, just keep your wits about you at all times, never trust anybody too much, and leave yourself the option to get out and reintegrate into society if and when you choose to do so (keep some emergency cash stashed in a bank account at all times). The vast majority of them do go back to a somewhat normal/mainstream life eventually, no matter how big they talk.

I relate. I was never a full fledged trainhoppig gutter punk but I hung out with a good lot of em. I was a rubber tramping alcoholic (lived in a car and spanged up money for booze). When I didnt have a car I would squat under bridges sometimes.
It is the sorta thing where you either stop one day or face eventual death. Overdose, stabbings, falling off trains, complications from alcoholism...Ive had at least a few dozen of my friends die before the age of 35.

I played basketball with a gutter punk the other day. His friend was passed out on a bench nearby. "Yeah, he took too much acid yesterday." Saw them walking down the street when I went out drinking the next Saturday.

I would be a little afraid once I got into that life for real, that it would be too hard to get out, and would be stuck there, for life.

well you should grow the fuck up then and act you age. not try to live out some fantasy of being a poor homeless traveling junkie that eats trash and begs for a living so you sleep under a bridge if its a good night.

One time I walked into burger king and applied and the lady asked me, "it says on your refferences you never had a job before...why?" And I looked at her real confused and I said, "How am I suppose to already have a job before I get a job I dont get it"
I guess I didnt get the job because i never had a job before, which is fucking bullshit.

Yeah...its difficult to get a job without experience...getting a job when youve been working age for a few years and have no experience is a near Herculean task.
