Please critique my photos. I'd have them full size if I could figure out how to do it on this tablet but anyways check em out!
Galerina sp.

Winter oysters

Etc..

I didn't think oysters usually get crazy like that, think I should clone them?

Very nice pictures my friend. As for the critique, maybe try working to getting them in focus a little more next time (notice how the plants are more in focus than the mushrooms in the Galerina pictures?) I'm glad you're getting the chance to use your new camera more often. Those oysters look fucking healthy and really nice, we should clone'em. Awesome stuff man, I'm excited for spring!

Good photos.
As maynardjameskeenan noted, focus is always important for a good photo. Closely related, but just as important, is depth of field. Your bird's nest photo is exceptional, but the front edge is out of focus. If you could have gotten both areas in focus you would have had one of the best photos ever of a bird's nest fungus.
With the oysters, great job. Maybe move back a little to get a bit more of the area around them, but those photos are great.
On the Galerinas, I wish you had gotten a bit lower so we could see the undersides of the caps. Focus is good, but the third one has the base of the stem out of focus (depth of field). The second one, in terms of composition, looks like a photo of the leaf with a mushroom included. The leaf looks great, and the mushroom cap is a little out of focus at the near edge.
Overall, good job. The biggest tip I give people when teaching photography is to take LOTS of photos and throw most of them away. Keep at it, and be your own strongest critic, and your photos will get even better.
-------------------- Happy mushrooming!
