Doing G2G with sclerotia formers

Is it okay to take some grain out of a jar that has finished colonizing and has started to form sclerotia? Or would it be better to leave it undisturbed until they have all been formed and grown?
I was planning on letting them sit once formed to increase potency. Do you think G2G would still work well from a jar that has sat for a month or two?
Or should I just go back to multi spore?

Or, I just realized going to agar might be a good route as well.
but yeah, probly going back to spores. Might try one or two G2G's as a test.

I'm considering it. I haven't had good luck with LC in a while though

If the jars are not contaminated, you can G2G with stones. The sclerotia will start to grow mycelium again in the new grains. RR

thank you roger! Always nice to hear from you.
Seems obvious to me now, seeing as how the purpose of sclerotia in nature is to re-seed the fungus after a natural disaster. So of course they can last a long time and still be viable.
It probably has other purposes that I'm not aware of.

I shall! Maybe I'll do my first real grow log
It took a lot of effort to finally get these started. I've tried I think 3 times before this, with 3 different prints. All of them contamed.
But now, FINALLY, success!
Finally made jar lids with SFD's and injection ports today. No more polyfil for me. Everything is looking up

Now I'm thinking I should try an experiment.
Since the jars sit fully colonized for so long to allow the sclerotia to fully form, maybe they could use a sterile water injection?
I mean, I recently read how effective dunking your grains before spawning them to bulk is. It is clear that they get low on water, even after just colonization.
So maybe the sclerotia could potentially get larger, or dare I hope, more potent, with the addition of some sterile water a little while after they are fully colonized.
thoughts?

Harvest the stones, dunk the grains, spawn to bulk. Even if you don't get fruits, IME you will get more stones from the bulk sub than you will from the jars. MMMN stones, ate a shitload last night
