Our bastard President and his relationship to Enron!
    #1935118 - 09/20/03 11:31 AM (14 years, 10 days ago)

1. Enron's chairman did meet with the president and the vice president in the Oval Office.

2. Enron gave $420,000 to the president's party over three years.

3. Enron donated $100,000 to the president's inauguration festivities.

4. The Enron chairman stayed at the White House 11 times!

5. The corporation had access to the administration at its highest levels and even enlisted the Commerce and State Departments to grease deals for it.

6. The taxpayer-supported Export-Import Bank subsidized Enron for more than $600 million in just one transaction. Scandalous!!

BUT...the president under whom all this happened WASN'T George W. Bush.

SURPRISE ......... It was Bill Clinton, no shocker there because he was/is the biggest bastard president the US has ever seen.

Of course the libbies will rush to his aid and defend him, or worse yet change the subject and start yakking about how horrible Bush is.

But the facts remain the same.

Herr Klintone sucks!

Agreed. Clinton was scum, as is every career politician.

Now which administration is letting the Enron guys off the hook for that insider trading scandal?

Excellent point! There are NO significant differences in the Janus party.Clinton sucked (and was sucked  ) and Bush is fucking us.Vive le Differance eh?Until you all just realize there are NO MORE GOOD GUYS and it does not matter wwhich face of the Janus party is in charge at any given moment. The end results are ALWAYS moving to a weaker, shredded constitution and an increasing influence of corporate interest in defining policies we all must live by.
I have an interesting notion... instead of continuing this Klinton Krap and the Bush Whacking, how about examining how both are puppets for enormous financial interests, how both faces of the Janus party are in fact working together to redefine what it will COST each of us for our existance.Until folks start looking behind the curtain to see who the "wizard of OZ" truly is, the grand illusion will persist.
MM... I really expected a deeper understanding of the roots of political power from you. Surely you know that virtualy the same money backs both faces of the Janus party(Republicratic?).
Besides still throwing stones at Bubba? It's like tossing the wrench that you just barked your knuckles with,Maybe you felt better, but that wrench could give a rats ass you gave it a toss. Now you gotta go find it and finish working( ie; a waste of time indulging a destructive emotion)

Maybe under the next administration, but certainly not as long as Bush is in office. Of course, I can imagine if it was starting to look like Bush was gonna lose the election, good ol' Kenny boy would probably flee to his own little private tropical island.

lets all live in the past. it's so much easier to ignore the problems we're facing today. bash clinton some more. no matter what Bush does, we can always say "well, at least he's not clinton". yeah that clinton was bad wasn't he? I mean he had sex in the oval office! oh the horror! we should, like, impeach the guy or somethin' let's all ignore what our current president is doing and focus on our REAL problems, clinton's scandels. oh and who's this Kenneth Lay? we should all be going after martha stewert instead cuz isn't she accused of fraud or something?

What "wars" did he start exactly? He may have bombed Iraq and a few fucked up things, but he didn't start full scale invasions of countries that I'm aware of.

I was very young when the Kosovo thing happened,so correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't that have some kind of worldwide UN approval? And even if it was a miserable failure in many ways, weren't the motives behind the soldiers sent relatively pure (ie trying to establish some kind of stability)?

Ya'll sound like an old country western song" Stand By Your Man" LOL
Face it both sides of this are standing up for cheating ,lying, two timing no good SOB's Yeah Klinton was a asswipe and Busch is a ignorant doofus.I wonder if anyone here has as much opinion regarding the puppetmasters? What's the concensus on G.E.? Lockheed-Martin?The IMF?
Why keep hounding the bait fools?Only the most Quixotic people would keep jousting windmills this way(Read the book  )
FACE THIS...THE CIC IS JUST THE HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR FOR CORPORATE AMERICA AND IT MATTERS LITTLE WHICH FACE OF JANUS IS SHOWING.He is there to sell us our corporate owners edicts in a manner that we will swallow.
The fact is you were mortgaged at birth to the IMF/World Bank.Your worth is tallied with a social security number and used as collateral.Do you think that any CIC does not realize this?
You all are amazing me by even comparing Busch and Klinton in negatives, they were far more similar than different.
That you all waste time debating which puppet is most likeable/better shows that slight of hand is still an effective way of fooling the masses.

Kosovo was originally not UN approved. Clinton did not make the mistake of going to the UN for approval like Bush did. He took his case to NATO. We then proceeded to bomb the hell out of the Serbs. Our genious general Wesley Clark nearly managed to lose to a fifth rate military, and if it were not for a British general under him, he could have started WW3 with Russia. Clark ordered him to attack unauthorized Russian troops that landed in the area, and he refused thankfully. The only reason Clark did not lose IMO was the fact that Milosevic gave up. Milosevic was a sick bastard that deserved to be removed from power for sure, but many mistakes were made by NATO during the war. This is just like every other war in history of course. Warfare is not perfect, and you can't think of every possibility. Clarke was quite inept at it though, ad the prospect of him running America frightens the shit out of me. I woudl rather see Kerry or Lieberman get elected then Clark. This is a bit off-topic but Clinton is supportin Clark now, even though he did nothing to save his job after the war. I personally think Clark is a puppet for the Clintons.
