Spiritual resolutions

Share your spiritual resolutions for 2014 here. I'm curious to read them, and I'm sure others are too.
I don't really have any, except this: My life is dominated by anxiety, jealousy, fear, frustration, anger, bitterness, and a deep and constant sadness. I resolve to work on my attitude and my mental space through yoga, diet, and practicing mindfulness and compassion wherever I'm able. And I resolve to make an effort to be useful and helpful to other people.
How about you?
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

I have the same issues and resolve to accept things just as they are, doing or not doing whatever for any reason and continuing on the path I'm on till whatever end overtakes me.

I'm hoping to conquer my obsessions. I am obsessed with certain things, which I hope to balance and find a symbiosis with. Some of these things are out of my control ("conspiracy" shit that I think too much about), while some of it is my obsession with video games and pot. A deep sadness arises when I am full of obsessive emotions, so I'm hoping to improve on that. I'm doing a 2 week vegan cleanse starting tomorrow, and I AM SO EXCITED!
Doing vegan organic, with home brewed organic kombucha, and organic Reishi supplements. I'm hoping that with this diet, and lots of physical activity and meditation, I will be able to break new grounds in my conscious understanding. If I really enjoy the results, It may become permanent.

I guess that is just pretty much what there is to do down here.

I think its fine to have resolutions to improve your expression, but i do love what Osho said here...
"This and only this can be the New Year's resolution: I resolve never to make any resolutions because all resolutions are restrictions for the future. All resolutions are imprisonments. You decide today for tomorrow? You have destroyed tomorrow. Allow the tomorrow to have its own being. Let it come in its own way! Let it bring its own gifts.
Resolution means you will allow only this and you will not allow that. Resolution means you would like the sun to rise in the west and not in the east. If it rises in the east, you will not open your windows; you will keep your windows open to the west. What is resolution? Resolution is struggle. Resolution is ego. Resolution is saying, "I cannot live spontaneously. And if you cannot live spontaneously, you don't live at all -- you only pretend. So let only one resolution be there: I will never make any resolutions. Drop all resolutions! Let life be a natural spontaneity. The only golden rule is that there are no golden rules"

nice quote i think resolutions are best when they're open-ended, the most open-ended being like "may whatever is best happen!", for that reason. often what we think is in our highest good isn't really in our highest good, and i think there's a life agenda that we aren't conscious of that plays itself out from a higher vantage point. one buddhist teacher said something to the effect that our lives often seem pointless and out of place, but that's only because we don't see our lives from the viewpoint of the greater tapestry of our many lifetime-long journey - something to that effect. i think there's a much higher intelligence at play behind the scenes of our lives, though perhaps making discrete resolutions (whether or not they play out) is itself a part of this greater design, for reasons that are maybe not obvious to us

Now thought about what my resolution really is and I think it is being more open to the unknown, mainly future. As Chronic and deff pointed out. For some reason I'm very much concerned about future lately, but I think my worries won't change it. All is well.

Exactly, that's why i feel one can have resolutions yet also be in the same awareness that Osho was talking about, to have no resolution, so you can consciously stop, or at least intend to stop doing detrimental things/do better things, and also be aware that it's still the universe spontaniously doing that, it's the universes desire, it's only when we think we are a contracted separate individual doing something that it's a suffocation of one's expression
Saying 'the universe does it' is just a way of giving up the idea of individual doer-ship, really there is no doer of anything, ever
What is, is, it can't be done, yet nothing is left undone

No spiritual resolutions for me this year. Instead I'm focusing on my physical foundation, the root chakra if you will. Make the body healthy and the mind and soul will follow....

Dude. Try this. Pinch in between the center of your eyes like there is a sphere there that needs to be popped then push with you intent down passed your eyes and down the back of your neck. Worth a try.
My intention is to come of my meds. Everything was going well then I had another injection and I'm immediately in a funk of depression. I don't need the meds. And the voices have subsided so that is good. Things are looking up.

Disdain for any and all magical thought, no affirmations, no damned affirmation books. Will fail. Would be nice though.

My resolution will be the same as last year. Try not to be judgemental and continue to be present in the moment rather than living in thought.
