Feeling "uncomfortable" while tripping

So far I have tripped 2 times, my first time I took 3.7g and the second time around 3g. Both times when I begin to trip I start to feel like no matter how I sit or lay down I never feel comfortable and try to move into a better position but the feeling stays the same throughout the whole trip. As a result of this feeling I usually become very quiet and don't talk to the other people I am tripping with or just go to my room. I still do like the effects of shrooms and I plan on doing them again today (New Years Eve!!) but this time I will be taking 2g at first and another 1g later on in the night. I am wondering if the feeling of being uncomfortable has something to do with the amount I took and if taking only 2g will help me not to feel that way.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm pretty sure all of my bad trips were all caused by the anxiety caused by the discomfort in my body.
It made me "fight" it.
But the first time I tried shrooms, I was so freaked out I decided to sleep it off. About 45 mins later I decided to get up and take a piss (I thought it was like 5 am just before the sun comes up) and I didn't feel any kind of discomfort or really any trippiness.
But then after I left the bathroom it was as if I had just taken shrooms and it all hit me at once, but I wasn't anxious. I just saw a bunch of shapes and shit. When I looked at the clock it was only 1 am.
I don't know why but that was one of the most spiritual experiences of my life (obviously I left all the subjective personal stuff out)

It'll probably come again. The best thing you can do, is surrender to it. The more you accept it, the more it wont bother you.
If it gets overwhelming, just turn off any external stimulus and sit in a lotus position (or just normal sitting if you prefer)

It's just something you have to "let go" of.
"Letting go" is a big aspect of the psychedelic experience. Not only the psychedelic experience but it's also a technique to tap into your senses, and to relieve anxiety.
But that "letting go" eventually turns into ego death where you completely lose sense of being a living orgasnism, and you just "ARE". You don't know why, you definitely don't know how, but all you know is that something profound, beautiful, scary, enlightening, and awe-inspiring is happening

I feel like I ALWAYS feel this discomfort, unless I smoke weed.
For some reason weed just sets up both a good set and setting for me, probably because I'm a pothead. Best to smoke about 10 15 minutes after you feel the initial effects.
You'll start to see the visuals earlier and your body won't feel as uncomfortable. It also might be a little easier to "let go"
That's what I do anyway, but be careful because I've heard/read that marijuana can make the trip stronger if you took enough to trip pretty hard

One thing that I wanted to add, BREATHE! Breathing is something in western culture we take for granted most of the time. Proper breathing can really take away alot of anxiety, which is what all those feelings are. If you've got the time to read 50 pages, check this little pdf out. It's very good at explaining the psychedelic experience from the point of view of psychology via the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The-Psychedelic-Experience

the unfamiliar is fundamentally uncomfortable:
e.g. I find it very uncomfortable getting into the water at a lake.
the cold sensation puts me off, hate it... but if I put my hands together and swoosh in under the water, it is fantastic.
the holding back was the problem.

The uncomfortable feeling is a physical manifestation of your worries and anxieties. Once you can truly clear your mind it will go away.

When I feel uncomfortable during a trip, I go outside if I'm not already. It almost always helps.
And you can have difficult experiences on any dose, really.
About six months ago, give or take, one night I ate 2.5g and I started regretting it almost instantly, I wasn't even sure why. This had never happened before. I felt sick and depressed, along with the mindfuck of the shift in consciousness creeping over me. It was the middle of the night, I looked at the clock and decided I needed to find things to do to keep me busy, one hour at a time, until the mushrooms wore off at sunrise.
I tried throwing up, didn't work.
I tried watching a movie, felt worse.
I tried drinking as much water as I could for as long as I could, felt like a balloon.
I tried playing a video game, weird as fuck.
I tried closing my eyes to sleep, nope, fucked up.
Eventually I just gave up and started wondering around the house looking for things to do and wound up forgetting I was even trying to pass the time. At some point I wondered outside and just forgot that I was having a bad time and in the end, it turned out to be one of my most fun and meaningful mushroom trips to date. I was pulling silly faces at myself in the mirror having the time of my life, playing with the water when I washed my hands, thinking I was telepathically communicating with my cat, and the trip took on the spacey/universal/psychological theme of many of my other trips and I started quietly walking around the house again, lost in thought, began forming connections I'd since forgotten from previous trips, having all manner of revelations, both silly, insignificant and meaningful, about myself, others, and the world around me and eventually I found that sense of interconnectedness and unity, that sense of oneness with everything in the universe. I felt a wave of euphoria and understanding wash over me. I then went outside and sat on a hillside not far from home with a giant soup sized cup of tea with about four teabags in it and my packet of cigarettes and watched the sunrise, more content and at peace than I'd felt in a long time. I didn't want it to end.

Thanks for all of the replies, its nice to know that other people have had similar experiences because most of the people I trip with do not have this happen to them. I noticed a lot of the replies suggested to "Let Go" and I was wondering if anyone had some techniques to help do that, thanks again!

It's the body high, smoking weed before or during can help this. Drinking a few beers to catch abuzz before you dose up also helps this quite a bit imho. It's not so much the dosage persay as it's just the come up/body high of the shrooms themselves.

Great analogy!
OP, breathing slowly and focusing on your breath is a good way to let go. Eyes closed also helps.

sometimes letting go feels almost impossibe, but here are some things that can help alot:
1.) taking a shower 2.) going outside (almost always helps 3.) smoking weed (makes you trip harder and it's easier to surrender IME) 4.) BREATHE 5.) Drink Water (this helps a lot, but not exactly directly) 6.) Cold Bandana (this is a personal one i've found where i put on a bandana soaked in cold water. it helps me relaz physically) 7.)Singing 8.)Dancing 9.)Mantras, prayer, rituals
as for actually letting go that's not something you can really tell someone how to do. just don't worry about having to "do something" and concentrate on your breathing, meditate, and just go with it. remind yourself that it's okay.

I have heard that if you take a microdose 20 min before your real dose it can acclimatize your body chemistry and make for an easier come up.
Or you can eat sclerotia. So pleasant, up and speedy. Visuals were a lot better than most people say, just gotta eat enough My new favorite for sure. Got some on the menu this evening

I have yet to try it myself, but the guy who told me about it is pretty respected and knows his shit, so I have no reason not to believe him. Next time I eat cubes I will try it but that might not be for a while, had the shit scared outta me by some APE and now all I want to eat is sclerotia.

Only drawback is loooong colonization times. But they are for the most part inoculate and forget about it for 3 months The taste is a little rough tho, I like to eat them fresh, but they are really bitter. Texture is a lot better tho, like walnuts.
