This used to be a tree but now we keep it hedged. Before it was trimmed in September

A week or so ago

Sadly I will be removing it totally soon as we keep getting people coming into our yard to rape it.

Lucky there's some clones of this in the nanny state.
I doubt the target audience can read that sign though.

I have a couple of biggish one in pots which will have to go as well but at least one has also produced seeds this year which I am harvesting now.
My wife had written a different sign but thought it wasn't something our seven year old should be reading.

I can't believe that people would do that kind of thing, rather than at least knocking on the door and asking for a bit like a normal person. Maybe instead of getting rid of the plant, you should just dig a large pit around it and cover it with a tarp and a bit of dirt.
It looks like a very nice plant when the leaves are reddish like they are in your first picture, and I don't think anyone here would recognize it if used as a hedge.
