hello all,
great post going here. I am a noob and looking some tips on liquid culture. Started two cultures from home made spore syringe one honey and one malt.

Do they look OK ?
And when I go to inoculate some grain do I need to suck up one of those furry floaters or is just the liquid OK ?
Thanks for all the info on this site it has helped me a lot.

Only way to tell if a lc is fine is to test it, and using good sterile technique I get about 50/50 failure rate. If you decide to do lc's again I would put a piece of broken glass in the jar so you could stir it up.
Since you don't have that I would just shake it vigourously and suck up as much tissue as you can. In the future I'd suggest agar, it really is awesome and easy, and it looks really cool! I just use little pp5 containers and some MEA I bought from a shroomery vendor. You can spot contams really easily and make plenty of inoculate. My best advice with lc is to forget about it and switch to agar, maybe it's not what you want to hear but it is the truth.

They are good two of them are at like 75% the grain lc on is almost at 100% again.

I got this container of garden giant/Wine caps its at 100% should I make a GLC or Grain to Grain this shit cause I need a lot of it for my raised beds this year.
