Only thing I really did different than most was use a spray bottle of 70% iso in place of Lysol thought we had some it was foaming bathroom cleaner. Eh

Yea I think for now on my procedures for acquiring new specimens should go as follows
> Inoculate four small 1/3 full containers of WBS ,
> Each with slightly less than 1cc of spores per container.
> After the best container fully colonizes
> This is more how it look ,
> Then I'd strip the mycelium for a full GLC syringe. Btw this is the syringe I revived!
> After that recovers inoculate two master grain jars with the stripped the mycelium. > after all of the containers are fully colonized again/finally I'd G2G.
> After they reach their 100% mark I would then spawn tem to bulk.

> Sound legit?

All these picture in this are my own. So ya I been there done that!

you could probably use the one small container to g2g to your 2 masters and skip the glc all together

The point of the GLC was to put it in the fridge for when I'm out of spawn because its faster than MS.

i like what u did there with the small PP5's for a G2g.  ALL of my bacteria now comes from G2G's, with the donor jar having clean growth from a clean agar wedge.  i do 1 donor to 6-7 receivers, and the last 2 seem to get bacteria every time.  my best guess it my SAB too small and to get the last bit of grain out, i have to maneuver so much in the SAB tilting both jars that the air moves too quick or something unwiped with iso is allowed to briefly pass above the donor jar.  with what u have here, its easier because ur donor jar is smaller, thus easier to manipulate in the SAB.

i've actually considered doing this before that involved something like that (smaller donor jars essentially).  my next experiment will be to use a spoon to transfer the grains because i can't find a clear tote tall enough for 2 qt jars to stand on top of one another.  if that does not work, i will try what u have done here.

looking good MB 420!

p.s. I still use LC's hehehe... but only if i started from an agar wedge.  it was another attempt to get around the G2G bacteria problem.

The G2G is recovering nicely going to wait another day or two to put pictures up of it!
The white myc has fully re-covered the popcorn again and is starting to branch off into the rest of the WBS.

I think its time to bring back my MVP A++ I got to revive a print of mine but.. I need some color variation and falbino the syringe I got has yet to provide me with myc.. I used the whole thing up, still no signs.. It's okay though I just won't ever buy that kind again. :hmm: I would be willing to trade a albino a + print for Costa Rica if anyone has some :print:

I was never interested in glass jars. I wouldn't mind having some bags to pasteurize my coir in but I've seen good results from just using gallon zip-lock bags on franks pasteurization thread.
