Anyone have any good stories of movies they've seen in theaters while tripping?
I saw that kids movie ParaNorman in 3D on about 3 grams of shrooms and it was pretty incredible. The 3D effects and surround sound definitely stood out a lot more than usual.
Let's hear some cool movie theater stories

I've never tripped in a cinema.
I don't think I'd be comfortable putting myself in that situation.
I don't even enjoy regular movies on the TV while tripping, let alone x894398569384208413freedommindfuckgetmeoutofthisfuckholedarkroom

Myself and 4 other friends went to see the hobbit tripping bawls on a good dose of lucy. I was super comfortable with lsd so I knew that if my friends were tripping as hard as I was ascertaining, It would have gone horribly. I imagine the first 20min my friends would be "over emotional" so to speak and possibly freak out because it was in 3-D.
Long story short, my friends wanted to spark up a bowl when we got in the theater, which to anyone without ego death is obviously retarded. Then while we were waiting a security guard showed up at our car, wondering why we parked there for a half hour or more. Even though I had the most Lucy that night I calmly said, Sorry sir we are just waiting for a movie. After a small chat he left and everyone was tripping even harder. One of my friends got SUUPER paranoid and he ordered us to drive out somewhere in the desert to smoke and later got in n out, some beers and went back to the house to chill out from the very long adventure of the day and night.
Although I will say very strong edibles often are psychedelic and I love to watch 3D movies on them. Not overwhelming at all

I also get very uncomfortable being in public while tripping but my experience in the cinema was actually tolerable because the majority of my trip happened while the movie was playing, I was wearing 3D glasses and I wasn't sitting too close to anyone I didn't know. Also I think watching a movie with a positive vibe is important.

Well I tripped my fuckin ass off on DXM in the theatre but I suppose you're looking for psychedelic experiences. It sure was fun though. But it felt like SOOOO long because of the time dilation.

When I was 17 in 1980, they showed rock'n'roll movies at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights at the local theater. I was thrilled to see that on Saturday night they were showing Jimi Hendrix Rainbow Bridge! Me and about ten other guys made a trip out of it. The movie was so bazaar.. all kinds of hippie shit, smoking pot in Hawaii, Jimi talking about fucked up shit with people back stage and playing a set on the side of a volcano for a small audience of groovy people. We all loved it.. what a great memory.

I saw The Lawnmower Man and Congo new in theatres back in early-mid '90s. Once the lights dimmed and the people disappeared it was great, but distractions really really sucked. I though that Congo was the best movie ever--until I watched it sober years later. The nighttime, campsite laser perimeter jungle gorilla targeting system fight was unreal on L in a theatre. Best time I ever had was pretty bent up at Kings Dominion in 97. I rode the "Area 51 aka: Flight of Fear aka: Outer Limits about 14 times in a row. The lighting was much better than this POV--even sober. It's a frick of a spaghetti bowl indoor coaster and the water rides were much more relaxing later in the day.
