Pick ONE social issue you'd like to address

Okay, so the title basically says it all. What is one social issue you feel the world would be better if it were fixed or changed?
Please don't start an argument, or rudely disagree with anyone. This is like think tank thread, I want to get a pulse of how my other shroomies are feeling.
My issue is money. I feel that everyone should have to work 15+ hours a week, but it would be unpayed. The Gov't would supply you with an allowance, and everyone would understand hard work and money are two separate ideas.
I guess in a nut shell I would try to take the important out of money. I hate the ideas behind money.

I have several issues:
- Cleaning up our mess. There are millions of tons of plastic in the ocean
- Democracy needs to be updated
- We need to invest in clean electricity and battery development
- We need to create high speed transport all over the world
- The education system needs to be reformed
That's enough for now, it should keep the world busy for a while

Just saying taking care of the drug problem would DRASTICALLY reduce the prison population.

I see everyone here still enjoys money very much.
Why not make society automated? Let's build robots so we can all goof off all day.
Patlal your post was pretty good.
And thanks to the dick who called me a commie.

More like it'd screw 1-10%, and help 90-99%

Communism, properly executed, would create a perfect society. Don't be offended.

Well I was trying to be general. A high school kid I wouldn't expect any more. You would be able to do as much work as you liked. Most of this would be stuff like infrastructural. And I would rather look at it like a union than communism.
I understand there are way too many variables, and this wouldn't work. I just think money and work shouldn't be in the same boat, like church and state.
So back to my original idea, I would bring back a lot of unions.

I don't agree with DM's whole plan. But, removing the necessity of money would definitely be a positive thing. The vast majority of money doesn't actually exist anyway.

Yeah my plan is flawed, no doubt. I really just can't stand how people worship the current economic status quo.
You don't need money to live a healthy balanced life. With the way human's act though, you absolutely DO need money. The current system is just so artificial, it makes me sad.
I also agree with the comment that it would hurt the 10% and help the rest. Whoever said otherwise does not know how money is actually controlled.

I don't think bringing in more unions would help anything.
But, on the topic of money, read Modern Money Mechanics. It explains exactly how the US monetary system works.

And what happens if these workers aren't productive, slack off, and/or do nothing? How many people stuck doing janitorial work will get pissed off and jelous about people with other jobs?
Don't you see something wrong with this?
