I wonder if your "stuff" is the same as my "stuff" though I've never seen mine spread to a leaf. Yours has a slightly different growth pattern, but I would think that's just the substrate being more degraded than mine.

That looks similar to my 'stuff' but the color looks a little different, I wonder if they are two separate species within the same genus.

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend maynard. I found 3 chants.
They were frosted and rotten but they were there. Jan 4th. So they had to have been growing not too long before that
Keep your eyes open.

Are you sure? It seems off to me, specially the stems- They are really thin and and flexable, frim. Just like a Gymnopus. Do you a species in mind I can compare them to? I thought they might be Collybioid of some type
They were also growing in wood debris if that makes any difference, and there were no trees around them.

I'd agree with Laccaria. Gymnopus usually have thinner gills and more of them.
Nice shots mang.

Will you please show me a species you have in mind? I can't find a Laccaria that resembles these I'm not disagreeing,I just want to be certain before I jump on the wagon. I think the gills might be stuck together on the big one.
The texture of Laccaria has always reminded me of foam-rubber.
