Cheap Coir
    #19345725 - 12/30/13 10:25 AM (10 years, 1 month ago)

What's going on guys ?
I'm just wondering where you guys are getting your ecoearth coir from ?
I know some of you guys get it local but no one around me carries it.
Some woman at Petsmart told me that coir wasn't good for reptiles so they don't carry it.
I was thinking "Damnit woman, don't tell me how to raise my lizards" :shakefist:

I've found some coir at Drsfostersmith but they literally just went up a to 4.29.:mad2:
I found a 3 pack for 3.37 at petstore.com

Anybody getting it cheaper?
Thanks for checking out the thread,I appreciate it .

if you can't find coir just use coco husk eco earth from only petstores assuming your doing local shopping. The store you went to most likely has it. It works great.....I tested it a few times & monotubs

Find a local small pet store.
Have them order it.
The standard boxes they come in is 8 packs of 3, so 24 bricks total.
I get my 24 bricks for less than $2 a brick + gas & time.

I'm UK, there's a site that does big 5kg bales of it. I got 4 and it worked out at £1 per kilo which was the best price by far. Still got loads.

I think it was this place. Prices seem to have gone up a lil from what I remember. 15k for £18 isn't too bad though.

:whathesaid:

Petco has them like that & sometimes you can ask a person running the shelf to get you a box from the back.

I order mine from a place out on the east coast USA called "That pet place".  They ship, and a 3 brick pack is Just a bit over $3 dollars.  I won't link to them, and feel slightly uncomfortable posting even this info, knowing that our sponsors probably supply coir.

No,it's cool man .I asked before I made this thread and got the OK from a mod.

Thanks for the info T.L. I'll look into that.
Two bucks sounds awesome,I just might have to call around and check.
My local stores don't carry it but I'll look around the surrounding cities.

If anyone can find it cheaper online than I posted let us know.

I just ordered 13 3-packs of eco earth from an online place called pet solutions.

Not sure if they still have the offer, but I used a 10% discount and if your order is over a certain amount you also get free shipping.

Total I paid 44.50 for 39 bricks including shipping which was fucking awesome! Coupon code: 'Thanks' for a free 10% off.

Wow. I thought it was reasonable to pay 11 dollars for a three pack of coir bricks. Damn Petco. Pays to shop around, although it is only a 5 minute walk away
