Humidity question

Alas I among the mass hippie exodus occurring today for Atlanta's WSP NYE show. I have one cake still to care for and she is two flushes old. I will most likely need to leave the heater at 74 degrees for about a day and a half-two straight. Can I place a bowl of water in the enclosure and have that keep the humidity up while i'm gone? Or will it be alright without constant misting? I'll be back on the 1st by the evening or late evening.

It will be alright. The SGFC is excellent when it comes to that. 2 days is nothing compared to what it can achieve.

Well it's supposed to be in the 30's here while i'm gone. Pretty cold now actually despite the heater on I can still feel cold from the windows. This is in an attic but it doesn't keep heat well at all. I suspect the temperature would drop to about 56 degrees after 7 hours of no heat. Says 28 low for tonight high tomorrow 48 with a low of 32 so. I'd imagine it wouldn't stay very warm.

Now that i think about it i've had this heater running for a few days straight. some days i've been able to turn it off. However it doesn't stay very hot so i'd imagine it used less heat.

Do you have wet perlite in the bottom of your fc? If so you can leave the bowl out...you won't need it.

Yes but not enough really only about two inches. I have to keep the sgfc close to the heating unit because the other parts of the house get kind of cold and the can't could knock it over. hence it looses a lot of humidity, at least on the walls. I might can move it.
