I say "far out" a lot
One of my friends used the phrase "talkin' the jive" to me a couple months ago and it stuck in my head as being particularly interesting and worth using
I hear a lot of people say "cat"

I'm a child of the 80's and still sound like a Valley Girl.
Every New Year I resolve to eliminate "like" from my speech and just give up by lunchtime on New Year's Day.
Other words I orally abuse: totally fully whatever And certain notable quotes from Pulp Fiction.

They will take your boots, still containing your feet, as trophies to display at poetry readings.

A customer at my work used the term "groovy" with me at work today right after reading this thread this morning. It was a pretty far out experience.

"Far out" is even better than "groovy"

When I was in the firth or sixth grade one of my classmates was suspended from school for calling a teacher a "jive turkey" that dude was such a thug when I knew him in school. 10-15 years later I ran into him at a club and he had turned into flaming queen.
