Tripping and truthful epiphanies vs. delusions

What do you guys think about like the ratio of rational epiphanies to nonsensical delusions that are derived from a psychedelic experience? Or like, do you think the generalized mindset puts you in a more aware and perceptive state, or a more clueless and confused state?
Like a lot of times I trip and have all sorts of what seem like really well thought out like super-human streams of consciousness but a lot of times I'm left questioning how valid they are afterwards. I mean it's good to question everything including one's own beliefs as a part of learning and growing, but sometimes I wonder if tripping is really generally just some way out wacky stuff
Like even just hearing myself say the things I say when I'm tripping sometimes don't seem to make that much sense
Last night tripping I said to my friend something along the lines of "How does it become like 310AM without it even being 310AM but actually being that time anyway regardless?" Then we were walking by these big trucks and I was like throwing my arm towards them in the air and saying like "These trucks are just soooo..... trucky"
Then like when we were trying to find this terminal at a train station and I was like pushing my ticket towards my friend and like "Give it to me, do it with the thing to get us there"
So I start going on trains of thought that in retrospect seem rather nonsensical, but at the same time on some level they make sense. Like maybe it's just a linguistic thing because I know what I want to say and on a logical level the thoughts make sense but I just talk all tripped out
I don't know, what do you guys think? Does you think tripping puts you in a realer world than normal everyday or does it more dissociate you from the higher truth of things and put you in an aimlessly tripped out headspace?
What about an in-between state on the borders of genius and insanity? I've seen some LSD documentaries that say it puts people in a headspace of "unsanity", which isn't quite insane but not necessarily sane
Discuss intelligently
