Thanks man! Reason I ask is on my last grow some of the split caps kinda turned rotten inside and had to be pitched. I was wondering since it was different genetics but the same set up if it could be the low humidity air in my room. Also mt sgfc is kinda close to my bed but I doubt its restricting air flow. I plan to get a PC and move on from these cakes soon lol!

as long as your rh in the room isn't below 20 you have nuthing to worry about, just keep up with your misting and fanning and you will be fine, here's my CRACKED caps from low rh which also makes your cap color alot lighter

those pics were from an older grow but I updated this thread bc the pics are very relevant in this current grow. When I noticed the same splitting I figured I better learn whats going on in the case I needed to fix something I am really loving this hobby! I have another 10 jars I dunked today. They will get put in a second SGFC tomorrow morning

Thank you for this! I will save this pic for future reference. Very neat how the low RH almost makes for a albino look! I will keep on keeping on! Thanks again brother!

I fear I may of handled these current cakes tooo much. I been inspecting them for contams and removing them and spraying the perlite entirely TOOO MUCH bc that splitting had me freaking out lol. The 10 cakes I roll tomorrow will be set and left the heck alone.
