Post is just to ask if anyone has received pre sterilized grains from outgrow in the past couple weeks you feel were too wet?
Do not take this as a bash on this vendor. He is incredibly professional and the only vendor i will ever use here.
Just i had bought 12 one pound bags of grain. When i received them there were pools of caramel colored water on the bottoms. With nothing to really lose I used healthy mycelium from agar to knock up. Within just a few days the smell of rotting apples was noticed in 10 bags.
I contacted him and he said noone had complained about any bad grain. So was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience.
We are working something out so again do not take this as a negative review. Ive placed many orders and never been disappointed. Will continue to use this guy regardless..
You think there is a higher chance of getting wetspot in bags comparedtO jars?

His customer service is wonderful! I have been in business since 1976 and Out-Grow rates in the top 5 in Customer service. Mike's honest approach at keeping things right is a rarity these days. I will be a life long customer.

Wet spot is a bacterial contamination that has nothing to do with how wet the grains are or whether you're using bags or jars.

I've used outgrow in the past, and I've always been extremely happy with the results. u have had an issue with a few jars and bags here and there, but every time this happened I simply talked to him and he went ahead and re-sent the right item/replacement, and he would usuallyx include something as a sort of bonus in many cases. I can't recommend OutGrow enough.

this was around the time I had the same problem, made me discouraged wasting so much money i quit growing for a month or two. don't get me wrong he nicely sent me replacement bags but those all were the same, he eventually sent me some substrate bags for all the trouble, I put them up and now I recently ordered the jars, the grains looked perfect, maybe a little dry but its way better then all the bags that were mushie and colored, over all mike is a great man with a great company, I'll only order from him.

I did have the same issue a few times, I typically prepare my.grains a bit on the dry side anyways because I usually g2g or use quite a bit of lc but despite having the same issue as you on 2 or 3 occasions in the past several months I would not switch vendors outgrow is awesome and the pre sterile rye I used I believe were free ones that were thrown in with large orders anyways, it was usually such a small loss I didn't even bring it up to him, but I do agree they are a bit too wet in my experience, I just order a 25 lb bag of dry grains and some empty bags every 3 weeks or so and I'm good to go
