Buying liqour that don't need to be with chasers is too expensive, I usually pass out if I run out of chasers. I been trying to stick with beer now tho.

I drink the liquor without a chaser. Or I chase with more liquor.
Actually, I don't use chasers at all.

I don't always drink liquor, but when I do, I take shots of only the finest out of the navels of virgins.
No chaser.

Maybe try switching to another kind of liquor? Cheap vodka may be an unpleasant experience, but there are many cheap whiskeys that taste nice.
No chaser needed.

I like tequila. It's kind of a chaser but it goes really well with salt and lime-- salt before you take the shot, then just bite into the (sliced) lime after the shot. Lovely.

At the end of the day alcohol is alcohol. If you have a tight budget, just make a mixed drink with some shitty vodka and force it down xD

I'm not much of a fan of alcohol unless I'm in a social situation that would benefit from lubrication. I really don't like how the comedown of it feels though. Makes me feel more crappy than good.

I have always been able to take shots of (or chug) hard alcohol with no chaser necessary. I honestly like the taste. My GF on the other hand makes the funniest face when she takes a shot and then she chugs whatever is closest to her.

Yeah, I used to need chasers but after drinking a certain amount of hard liquor you learn to control the gag reflexes and enjoy the intense flavor. I used to prefer vodka since it was the most flavorless of the spirits, but these days I only get it for cocktails. Anejo tequila is great for sipping or shooting, and the whole salt-and-lime routine is enjoyable, but not necessary.

I drink Seagram's gin straight from the bottle it comes in. Chasers are lame in my opinion. I like to revel in the burning of drinking gin straight up.

Also, if you really can't find anything to chase with, use water. Add lemon juice to the water if you desire.

I don't do shots unless I'm at a bar or a party. And I don't do shots of shit that I'd need a chaser for (vodka or tequila are the only ones).

I really like anejos too
As for being "expensive", there are plenty of <$20 and even <$15. Just gotta know what to look for. And honestly IMO, it just sounds like you don't like liquor I can tell you what I do/don't like about any spirit, but if I don't like it I'm not going to be grimacing and looking for something to rinse my mouth out with. The difference between good/shit isn't THAT big.

That is a quality bourbon, and it costs me <$13 after tax. In most other states, it's probably closer to $15
Chasers..

Saw this late, but IMO Svedka is The Vodka. When it comes to something like vodka, I don't see the point in going fancy with it as in Gray Goose or Ketel One. Prices like that should be justified with flavor, and vodka is not meant to have that. Likewise, Smirnoff and inferior vodkas taste like paint thinner. Svedka nails it with its relatively low price and lack of flavor.
