So the time has come, me to plan my next step.
I have 20 large spawn bags, that need to be made. I have ~40lbs of rye berries.
I got enough space for about 4 monos. Roughly the 66qt totes.
I have 3 qts of rye berries that got knocked up with an agar wedge of the atl#7, tampensis. I also have 6 qts of rye knocked up with MS of something called p. Atlantis. from a non-vendor, so no clue as to the validity. Cakes colonizing currently.
How many bags do I make? how would you go about it? what would be your theoretical timeline?

Well your gonna want to let those stone produces go for about 2 months after full colonization to get some nice stones. Then you can worry about spawning. I wouldn't G2G p mex varities myself

So let me understand you correctly. The atl#7 that I thought was tampensis, is a mexicana variety? And not to g2g said culture/jars because of sclerotia.
What about Atlantis?
And is what I said above correct? I'm searching now for more info

Atlantis is a sclerotia producing species as well.
I believe they are both from the psilocybe mexicana family.

From said research, I have come to learn that atl#7 is gallindoi, and Atlantis, are both sclerotia producing species.
If species is the correct term... Excuse the noobness.
I will be letting all jar sir for about 3 months for sclerotia, then make trays and case.
Any further direction is welcome!

do you use/prefer a transfer to agar, grow the plate out then inoc with wedges? Or transfer a stone from one jar to the next?
and blojo yes species is the correct term .... they are different species

No petri dishes yet... going to put together some Glad Mini Round dishes together.
I figure ill just take a grain after they have formed sclerotia, grow it out, then noc up some jars for spawn.
Is it possible to knock up bags/jars with a stone??

Because p mexcana is a very slow colonizer I recommend a few things. First if your going to inoculate with wedges, use a couple and make em a good size. Second, don't fill the jars up too much, because you can't shake them, the less grain you have in the jar the faster it will colonize. This will help with your colonization window against contams.
Stones are my favorite, well worth the wait

Pasty, what am I looking at for times? Got 2 jars showing signs of growth from the syringe. Which is awesome. My agar transfers are showing signs of growth also.
Am I looking at around a month or 3?

Stonesun uses LC for his mexicana so you can't expect similar results with ms solution or wedges. Times will vary greatly depending on genetics and how even you get your inoculate. I have found that MS syringe takes so long for germination its not worth it, most of the time my grains dried out before I got good growth. With agar wedges I would attempt to get two good sized wedges on opposite sides of the jar. I usually tilt my grains at an angle before dropping in a wedge so I can tilt it back and bury the wedge.
Assuming you have strong genetics from doing a few transfers, and provided your temps are better than mine (I live in a cold climate) you could probably see full colonization in a month or so. Leave it for another couple months for good stone development.
Here is why you don't shake. The second jar from the right was the first out of these 4 to be inoculated, ended up colonizing weakly and produced few stones.
