The young kids usually whoop my ass in pick-up games at the park (true story). These will be my designated sex shoes as well.

Air Max's are always a good choice. The new Kobe Bryant's are awesome for b-ball too.

Just picked up those Jordans on sale. I'm so surprised at how cheap they were for how great they look and feel. I've never had J's before because they were always too expensive for me. I'm all excited to go ball tonight at the gym.
Edit: I saw the new Kobes while at the store. Definetly not my style. I'm sure they are great shoes to play in but it looks like someone just splattered light green, yellow, and blue paint on them.
I know that all the shoes NBA players are wearing now have that kind of look, but I've always been a fan of just a two tone shoe that's functional.

Yeah the Kobe's aren't the best looking (by any stretch of the imagination) but they have great reviews for comfort and support. Since you said you will be wearing them on and off the court, those J's you got look perfect. Plus Jordans seem to be a natural lubricant for the ladies, so that's a plus

LoL. I like that. "Natural lubricant for the ladies."
It's mostly just for on the court, but I did need something that weren't either dress shoes or sandals to wear when I'm just hanging out or going somewhere casual.

Do you guys know of any companies that make basketball shoes in different widths? Most shoes seem to just be the standard D width and I am a 2E. Ds put my feet to sleep, I'm currently just wearing New Balance runners because they make them from B - 4E.

My setpdad always has the same problems buying shoes. New Balance used to be the only ones he had found until recently that come in widths large enough. Last time I saw him, he was raving about how his new shoes were finally perfect for really wide feet. I'll have to ask him what brand they are next time I see him. I know they were fairly pricey, but I'll let you know.
The Nikes and Jordans apparently only come in "small, med, large" width. I don't know if the large would be wide enough though. I have pretty wide feet, and I got the medium width (only ones they had in stock) and they are a bit tight as far as width, but just gotta break them in.

I always liked the look of Forces the best, but Jordan 1s are just as clean looking.

Hell yea PCP. Those J's look awesome. I've been looking online and I'm really surprised at how much shoe prices went down.
Last time I bought shoes, Forces were over 200. I'm looking right now and they have them for as little as $100. The most expensive ones I found at foot locker were $200 (air force downtown high top). 5 years ago they were close to $400.
I guess those Chinese sweatshops are at least giving us cheaper kicks over the years lol.

Those were Jordan 1s Forces look really similar though.
Past few years I've been really into the super simple look of Adidas Originals too

I just realized I typed that in wrong lol. I edited my post right before you posted.
I've heard really good things about all the new Adidas. Especially the D.Rose 4.0's, but they look ridiculous to me. I'd expect laughter if I walked out of my house wearing these:

I can't really speak for Adidas performance other than the occasional 2-on-2, but I skateboard, and over the past ~4 years the quality of the soles has gotten so much better and grippier. Can't say much better than Nike, but they're both as grippy as can be. Weight isn't really an issue IMO, but they definitely aren't like wearing cinder-blocks as some are.

I don't really skate anymore. Just cruise down the beach on a longboard with sandals or barefoot, but I remember when nike started coming out with their "extreme sports" line of shoes. Idk what they were thinking. From what you said, I'm guessing they haven't improved much.
When I still used to skate (shortboard) I was a fan of DVS'. Looking back on it they were pretty crazy looking. Those really big, puffy tongues in bright blue. Before then, it used to be all about Globes, and then like 20 years ago the all infamous Airwalks lol. I just brought myself through memory lane with those shoes.

Nah you must have misunderstood, Nike SB (Skateboarding) and Adidas (doesn't have a specific "line") are some of the best quality shoes out
"Tech" shoes back around 2000 are so funny to look at They've sorta started coming back now, albeit no where near as terrible looking as some of the '00 ones The runners toe is even back!

I was referring to the first line of Nikes that came out for skateboarders and surfers and were sold excursively at skate shops. I believe it was around 2001. I think I misunderstood what you wrote.
It's wild to see some of these hipster kids walking around nowadays wearing the slip on Vans or just low top Vans in general. IDK if they are trying to be ironic or what the deal is, but I used to love those shoes when I was real young.
