Does Size Really Matter?

Hi All,
My setup:
multi spore germinated in qt jars of wbs Colonized jars spawned to a coir vermiculite mix 3" of Spawn put in the red tubs from Walmart Cased with 1/2" peat and vermiculite Martha tent 74 degrees with humidifier for fruiting chamber
I've been having really good luck lately. I've been consistently pulling 2 to 2.5 dry ounces off the first flush. I'm by no means complaining but the 1st flush fruit size is rather puny. 2 - 3 inches tall pipe cleaner stems with caps probably as big as quarters. Every flush gets consistently bigger. The later flushes average 1 ounce dry. The last tray I had the 4th flush going and it only had a few huge mushrooms the largest being 122 grams wet with a huge stem and cap which dried out to 12 grams - not bad for 1 mushroom. I really like the bigger mushrooms. So I guess the couple questions I wanted to ask:
1) Is there any way to get the 1st flush to produce bigger fruits and still maintain the same total yield? 2) What does anyone with a similar setup pull of their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd flushes fruit size wise and total yield?
My substrate seems a little dry when I introduce it to fruiting. I'm wondering if a soaking before fruiting would help? I'm assuming my FAE is ok due to the larger fruit sizes of the later flushes.
Thanks in advance for any input Shaq

mushrooms are about 90% water so if your later flush mushrooms are getting bigger then i imagine one of two things either your getting less mushrooms which may be why your first flush is made up of smaller multiple mushrooms compared to bigger less mushrooms in later flushes or its your strain that you have chosen (just my thoughts) because after each initial flush your going to be decreasing the amount of water in your substrate substantially which in turn would mean smaller mushrooms in my mind not the other way around

my set up is quite similar to yours and I also get relatively small fruits in my first flush. the two main reasons in my opinion are genetics, they very from flush to flush with MS. the second is a heavy pin set the fewer pins I have on a sub the larger my fruits.
iv got two subs sitting on the same shelf of my GH rite now one is completely carpeted with small to medium sized mature fruits. The other had a thinner pin set and the fruits are quite large.
