It's open to interpretation obviously, but I would say one core idea is that as humans we are burdened by our intelligence in a sense, and that if we don't actively choose to act in a moral way things can go to shit very quickly. Animals that rely more on instinct don't really face the same kinds of dilemmas and choices. The pain of childbirth is a concrete result of this "burden of intelligence;" childbirth is riskier for humans than it is for a lot of other mammals because our heads are so gigantic.

Just read through all of this. I like the part about jesus fucking his mother and giving birth to himself.

I'm not a huge jesus basher but its hard to take the bible literally with a straight face.
Anywho, carry on

How is the bible going to preach thou shall not kill or steal. Be a good person this and that when man steals the apple. God mass murders millions.

As others have said, the Bible was written by various different people so it's not really all that consistent.

Have you ever seen a horse or cow drop out of a cow vag? Heads ain't nothing compared to four gangly legs. Human also are born earlier in their development than many mammals, which pop out and can run around in an hour.

Earliest extant NT texts dates from approximately 200 AD/CE

Or 150 years after anyone who actually knew firsthand the stories being told - who could raise their hand and say :lolwut: walked on water? You hittin the pipe, Luke?

I think you mis-understand the term term extant.

Ok, but so what? For humans the head is the big challenge.
