Contamination during dunk?

Hi there, I'm a first-time grower who's following Evilshroom's BRF cake walkthrough. I made it pretty well so far, my jars became fully colonized and I even had a small pin or two growing in them before I birthed them.
Following the directions, I took them out of the jars and dunked them in a large pot for about 18 hours. When I took them out, the cakes, which had previously been purely white on their surface, seemed slightly bluish-greenish in some areas. I followed the rest of the steps, rolling them in verm and placing them into my SGFC.
Now that they've been in there an hour or two, I'm noticing what I'm sincerely hoping to not be the very beginnings of greenish mold sprouting out from the cakes.
Is it possible for the cakes to be contaminated with mold while submerged underwater? And is it possible for cakes that are 100% colonized (and delayed for a week) and even beginning to pin to be overtaken by mold?
I'm really hoping this isn't mold that's starting to show up, as I've made it so well so far, but I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on the issue.
Thanks very much.

Thanks for the post, well wrote.
Before everyone else says its, take a photo. Upload to the site using Pics at the top left section of the header.
I dont think its LIKELY so soon after the dunk, perhaps the reaction you saw intially was from handleing the cakes, resulting in blueing of the mycellium.

Your cakes shouldn't contaminate if they're fully colonized.
They just are bruising from being slammed out of the jars

Sorry, I should have thought to upload pictures initially. Here are a couple.

I ended the dunk and took them out of the water probably about 4 hours ago.

doesnt look terrible although it may still be progressing. just keep an eye on it. its more then likely just bruising to be honest.
also as for the principle of contamination. imagine it as you as a person an average human has an immune system constantly fighting the bacteria that will always win the fight just over a period of time. when your peaking as a human in your late teens your immune system is generally at its prime so contamination is hardly the possibility. As a child, before all your body has optimized or had the time to grow out fully you are more prone to sickness. moral of the story the infection is always there as your cakes get older and flush a time or two the infection will make its presence known...
Sorry for the long post, was feeling deep. lol

Bruising. It's normal. Your picture verifies it. RR
