looking for a job

I am looking for a job. I have no car which is making it a little difficult. My town is spread out so there isn't much within walking distance. I have family and friends who may be able to give me a ride/let me borrow their car which may not be possible due to conflicting schedules. but i just made a resume and am looking online for places hiring. If anyone could give me some tips that might help or look over my resume for me i would appreciate it.
also i have a few questions. If i apply for a job is it bad to do it online? Like i said i dont have a car so it is more convinient to just send my application online through job boards or company websites. Would it be better to try to take my application in person or does it not really matter?
Also for references, is it bad if i dont put any? Idk who to put. I dont have much work history and im supposed to put people i have worked with, right? Not just like family/friends?

Post up your resume if you like (I recommend removing any identifying information) and someone/myself will have a look at it.
As for references typically you do not put them on a resume. The employer will ask for them if they are interested.

i was once unemployed and without a car at times i would walk up to 12-15 miles just to drop off an app i did this for 2 years before finally finding one then i walked for another year before i saved for a car
it really really sucks sometimes but if you 100% want something sometimes you have to give it your literal ALL and from what iv heard unless its a top teer job or across borders applying online is bogus

I am 20. And i am on my phone right now. I made a resume with the help of an app i found. Im not really sure how to post it from my phone, trying to get on a computer now so i can email it to myself then il post or pm to people that can look it over. And thanks il leave references out. But on some applications it asks for some, specifically 1 it says personal references - no reletives. What would i do for that? I dont know many people in this town. Just put some friends?

Thanks for your post. I dont mind walking but it does make everything harder, especially when they ask if i have transportation. I feel like if i say no it will look bad. But i wont apply online anymore. Il just find a way to get applications in another way.

if you have family in contact really try to get on there good side or fix anything broken and ask for help are there ANY goverment offices near you? if there are--go to one in anyway possible and find a clerk lay out your problem plain and simple with no embelishments and if they cant help you ask what department can -keep it up till youre where you need to be im sure if the gov cant re-institute (nasty term imo) crack heads off the street they can help you
btw whats your education level?

Walk to your nearest temp place. Some will provide transport to job site . For a fee. Also answer numbers you don't know . Have you worked in the past?

yeah dude, in your position a recruiter may be a damn good option.
just remember, you can use your lamborfeeties or the bus
your not the first one to be in this predicament. i would be willing to scope your resume if you need a second set of eyes.

In answer to your questions.
You should definitely put references in. It can just be some of your friends or non immediate family. It's pretty important even for entry-level jobs.
Applying online is not bad at all. In fact most companies prefer that you apply online. If it's a family owned business tho, I've always found that going in person gives you a much better chance of being hired.
And...don't worry about your employment history. Just be honest about it. What you need to do include is the amount of time that you worked at those jobs and post the starting and termination date. Your position at that company. How much you were making (optional), and who your supervisor was (including their phone number if you have it.)
Hope I could help you out a bit. I don't know about the transportation situation, but I guess it's going to have to come down to public transportation or somewhere that you can get to with at least a bicycle. Good luck on your job hunt.
