Yup. That's insane lol.
I always have a back and forth moral debate in my own mind when I see a bug in my house and think about killing it. Most of the time I'll let them go on their merry way if it's a fly or small beetle.
A spider or 2 are cool to have as well if they are by my ceiling since they eat mosquitoes that come in.
For some reason tho, cockroaches just instill dirtiness in everything they touch (at least in my mind) and I do everything possible to immediately kill it and dispose of it.

Bugs are slaves of their genetic attributes. They have no other purpose than to to eat and replicate. What they eat is a useful part of the environment because everything is related, but killing a few million won't even make a difference. Go ahead and kill every single bug you see!

its not a matter of whether killing bugs is bad for the utility i'm depriving the earth. or whether not killing bugs is bad because of the utility they deprive the earth.
it has to do with the existence of that bug's individual consciousness. and the fact that I ended it's "period of separation" (from the whole) prematurely with my compulsive smashing.
sorry bug.

Bugs have no conciousness. You need a highly evolved brain for that. Bugs have ganglias and a slightly more evolved photocerebrum... Don't worry man, you are not hurting anything.

This is essentially a live picture from my kitchen

Every fuckin day. This one is sitting there in middle of the floor, and it's mocking me. "Ya. Go ahead. Crush me, and then enjoy your dinner with my stank wafting through the air."

dude i mean, it's a great film insofar as it's entertaining and i love the basics of the plot. but i mean, i think:
Rotten Tomatos: ~3/5 IMDB: 3.55/5 Metascore: Critics 2.5/5, users 3.75/5
So yeah i guess its not "bad". but i wouldn't call it "good" either. Good as in "Saving Private Ryan was a good movie"

Everything is a part of you, then if you kill something that attacked you for no reason, you will remove such a misplaced agression from yourself, right?

The only small critters I kill are Yellow Sac Spiders, which are pretty common in my house. They have an extremely painful bite and like to make nests in clothing.
Everything else gets caught and released, unless my cat gets to it first.

Starship Troopers is a misunderstood movie. It has epicness written all over it, plus, it's practically Starcraft.
