it's be interesting to PC it and then noc it up or do a g2g just to see how the jar turns out...  no expectations from it other than experimentation.

That is an AWESOME idea. I will do this. Stay tuned.

EDIT: But there is no fucking way I'm opening this jar. It's going to be multispore injection.

dooooooo eeeeeeeet...

but yah, if you PC the jar it should kill anything in it and that'd be safe to G2G...

The jar is PCing right now. Gonna give it a full two hours.

I think you will probably end up with a mushy cake after PCing it, but you should be able to colonize it.   Good luck getting it out of the jar.

Let us know how it goes after PCing.

Well was it a lifeless mass of mushy mycelium or what?

So the PCing is done.  Here is the jar before it was shaken:

It was definitely all stuck together like a cake.  So I shook it up.

After the shake it actually looks pretty normal with the exception of some dead 'yeast' bits stuck to the glass.  I will inoculate tomorrow.

NIce, curious to see if that survived.

I've put extra grain jars in the fridge for a few days before pc'ing them and they've been fine... room temps are bad mmmkay.

I inoculated with a multispore syringe, Ecuador, 1 cc on the 30th and I have yet to see any growth. Not a good sign but I've been surprised before.

In case you can't tell from the picture the mycelium is incredibly WHITE / THICK. Any ideas for why this is?  I have other jars that also recently germinated but they're much more straggly  / whispy.
