What to do after finding contam in terrarium?

I found a light green contam on a fruiting cake just now... pic to follow, I have to leave soon. I removed the cake from the terrarium, but what (if anything) should I do to protect the rest of the cakes? A mist of h202, or bleach solution?

A light green contam... are you sure? I would isolate the cake and see if the greening becomes more defined and if it sporulates. It could just be normal bruising, but to be on the safe side keep it away from the other cakes

All of the cakes exhibit this to some extent or another, so I guess I'll just let them continue for now. I took the two best caps and made spore prints tonight, and I'll take the best fruit soon and clone it per the 9er tek.

Well, at least I got one flush ;-) I have some MR spores germinating now... and while I wait for them, I can address the contam issues in this house (it's an old house with a moldy basement) as well as set up the coolmist. I was starting out with perlite alone, but opening the terrarium multiple times a day is just inviting this problem back to mess things up again.

thats bruising which mean the cake is drying up ...it needs more humidity your terrarium does...and you should dunk those cakes after the flush

Turns out it was mold indeed. Bruising doesn't grow overnight, and I found a patch of even darker green growing on the vermiculite on top. So, into the graveyard.

Now that my first flush is over, I'm thinking about dunking the cakes that look oK and cleaning out the terarrium... but if H202 isn't effective against green mold, I'm worried about weakening the cakes even more with the dunk. Any advice?
