That depends on the person and what kind of strain you cultivating, like cyan grain dunking before spawning to bulk...But not for cubes. Like you said after the second or third flush. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/17616982/fpart/1/vc/1
I dunk all my grains before spawning, its not really the same as dunking a colonized sub that's put out a flush or two As for dunking your grain spawn, I have found that most species appreciate it, especially species that are slow colonizers.

would you recommend it for my next spawn? wbs & cubes spawning to coir & verm. I'm already soaking in coffee and the results where better with it. plus Im using LQ and the mycelium colonized so fast...

If your getting really fast colonization due to using LC then grain dunking is kind of pointless. If you are using G2G as your method of expansion then dunking is a good thing to replace any lost moisture during colonization.

ahh yeah, I thought so because some jars where pooling (after inc.) in the bottom and the pool turn into pure white myc. If you think about it I'm am giving the grains some nutrients from the corn syrup LQ.

Pans and cubes are species, not strains.

Odd question, but is it safe to use an LC right out of the fridge or should I let it warm up? It's g. lucidum for a few jars of WBS

Personally I only worry about if the jars are still to warm after PCing them.
I don't have experience so I can't answer you scientifically, but spores survive through the winter so I don't see it being a problem. But waiting 5 to 10 minutes to let it thaw shouldn't hurt either.
But like I said, I'm just using knowledge about different aspects, I've never done exactly the same as you're asking.

Looks like a pretty good yield regardless! Good job!
Amazing how so many mushrooms sprouted on the sides and managed to co-exist in such a small area. Gotta love it!
