There is not such thing as a rare documentary once it's been uploaded onto youtube--but I'll give it a look.

Spiritual Emergency Stanislav & Christina Grof (editors) Obstacles and Vicissitudes in Spiritual Practrice, Jack Kornfield
Quote:
At this point in continuing practice, or perhaps earlier for some, there can be a whole series of powerful energetic phenomena, sometimes called the awakening of the Kundalini. What this means is simply a profound opening of the energy centers of the body, or the chakras, and a simultaneous opening of the nadis, or the energy channels of the body. While there is a basic pattern to this, it may happen in many different ways.
Sometimes as one sits and gets more concentrated, the body will begin to burn or there will be a feeling of heat in the spine, vibrations and tingling. At times, one can actually feel energy move physically in the body as if fire, pulsations, or vibrations moved spontaneously through blocked energy channels as a way to open and free them. These energetic openings can take hours, or weeks, or months. It is all a part of the process of psychophysical opening and purification.
When the different chakras open, there will be a whole variety of unusual physical phenomena. At the throat there can be tension and coughing: I have seen people who sat and swallowed for days in a row. With the lower chakras, the initial opening can include tension and fear; there can be nausea and the release of vomiting. With the opening of the sexual chakra there can be other experiences, including visions of every kind of sexual encounter one can imagine, and tremendous waves of lust and rapture.
When the heart chakra opens, there is sweetness and love, but usually this is accompanied by a great deal of pain, because most of us have bands of tension and holding over our heart. In many retreats people, especially physicians and nurses, have come to me asking: “Please, could you call an ambulance? I am having a heart attack; I can tell, I know the symptoms. I am a physician. I understand this.” Or “It hurts here and it hurts my arm. It is my angina but it is worse now,” and so forth. And almost always what it is is the opening of the heart chakra.
I usually say to them, “What better place to die than a retreat? Don’t you think so?” We have not lost anybody yet, although some day it may happen. Still, it is important to have one’s heart opened. So I say: “Go back and sit. Either your heart will open in your body or out of your body. ”
There are many kinds of chakra experiences. The energy released can become very powerful, to the point where there is so much energy coursing through the body that one cannot sleep for a number of nights. The entire body will vibrate. There can be weeks where it is filled with firfc and where vision is altered, almost as strongly as being on LSD. The eyes can burn and hurt, and many other kinds of symptoms can be involved.

I have a weird relation with the Chakras. I experienced something vivid at a music festival this summer, very weird and uncontrollable. For all I know it could've been some sort of chakra experience (whatever happened, there was def outside sources controlling it; inflicting it on me).
This being said, I have a very strong animal instinct to stay away from studying anything to do with the Kundalini and chakras. I won't even read the entirety of the above post. My instincts are rarely ever wrong. Perhaps I'm barred from these experiences

i mean the "outside" part. it can't be "outside" because chakras are "inside"

I entered a state of consciousness that cannot be explained and I looked to the chakras for an answer. My friend is deeply involved in this kind of stuff and it was becoming to make sense when he was explaining it. Me and him were doing psychedelics and whatnot which he believed brought us closer to the answer. He believe DXM opens up the third eye and he is always taking it.
I don't know what to think about all this stuff anymore. I was feeling and seeing things that were so aligned to my mind that it was like everything was one. My thoughts and this reality would align so beautifully it was orgasmic.

Depends on just what outside and inside are. Many a philosophist has pondered whether there is a true distinction between the two or a practical, learned one that isn't without its flaws.
Also, if someone can hear thoughts, esp (I experienced esp during my encounter, among various other oddities), why couldn't they also affect your internal chakras? I've heard of yogis being able to make parts of peoples bodies feel warm via meditation. If you can affect a persons temperature, you could probably affect something that interacts with the chakras, affecting them.

this is all true, but the sensations happen and arise within you. "outside forces" may have an influence on certain feelings and sensations, but they all originate from within you. the chakra system is a representation of your personal energy constructs.
let me briefly explain
root = survival/sustainability pelvic = flow/procreation/emotions solar plexus = power/strength/ego heart = love/compassion/acceptance/empathy/openness throat = creativity/expression third eye = intuition/imagination/insight crown = connectedness/oneness
before making any assumptions and jumping to conclusion, you should at least learn what the chakras represent, and how they've been utilized in spiritual practices. it's not some mystical "outside force" that you're tapping into. it's just yourself

Well that became interesting after a few posts thankfully.
Buddhist and hindu practises fascinate me, they always have before I understood anything about them, I just knew I wanted to know more.

raise your frequency bro

Yes yes, all around you, everything you see is made of FREQUENCIES which vibrate at different speeds. Your third eye happens to be the 6th chakra. Our 7 chakras all vibrate at different speeds. Each chakra is associated with a color, and each color vibrates at a different frequency. Those into metaphysics, can use crystals and stones that resonate with each chakra. A good third eye chakra crystal would be amethyst. There are 7 chakras that we experience in this dimension. For purposes beyond this thread, there are other chakras that can only be experienced in the 4th and 5th dimensions.
This explains much further: Multidimensional chakra map
I've found that when I am doing meditations, whether chakra related or not, I just feel better all around, like the OP was saying. I've found that certain crystals and stones are more powerful than others.
When I hold my rough malachite piece, I feel pins and needles going in my palm after about 15-20 minutes, like how it feels when your hand falls asleep.

Also, when you meditate, you change your own personal vibratory frequencies. We are not SOLID beings. There is air and light inside every atom and molecule. It's how the LIGHT shines through it in how we perceive it. There has been studies finding that while LSD and psychedelics, the same parts of the brain are used as in tibetan monks who meditate all day. These people have a very high consciousness vibration rate.
