WBS with corn

I am going to try some WBS. Once I got home and opened this bag it has alot more cracked corn then I thought. The pic makes it look much less too. Will this still work? It really doesn't look anything like most of the WBS on here.
Ah its already soaking so probably going to try it anyway

Yeah, rinse the fuck out of it. Mine also has some corn in it, and I find that changing the water several times while soaking to keep it hot, then using fresh water to simmer (this is when you'd add your gypsum) and making damn sure it's dried properly before jarring it up keeps it nice and loose.

dry as possible IMO, lay them on a towel or something, i use to dump mine in my sab and stick a hair dryer through one of the holes and shake it around, done in five minutes(after draining for a bit)

thanks guys, yeah I rinsed 5+ times and it was still dirty. Probably will do a few more on later mid-soak.
Doing a set via 'quick hydration' method.

That sticky icky icky that makes your jars colonize 80% then stop. That's how corn treats me , you might have more success.

Agreed. I would rinse the ever-loving shit out of that, and IDK if that will even help. Good luck.

When you soak it in warm water, does the color still change after about 30 minutes?
I just kept soaking and changing out water until it didn't look like tea.

Yeah, rinse a lot more.
If your initial rinse was good enough for your water to come out clear, it should get dark after soaking for a while, but if you strain it all out and add more water, it should be clear again. After a while it'll darken back up like a tea.
If you happen to not drain it all out when changing water during the soak, it may retain some color but should still be mostly clear.
Also, keep in mind that changing the water during the soak is really only something I do that I know of. I've never read of anyone else doing it. It's probably not necessary, but at least with WBS it seems to me that I get more water into my grain that way. This isn't some time-tested method (well, by anyone but me) but it was rationally thought out and I've been doing it for about a year now with much success.

I did mine by running the water on hot until its reached max temp, then soaking the seeds in that. After it cools, which takes bout 45 minutes, I'll change the water out again. This way, the clean water pulls the nasties from the seeds more efficiently and the warm water helps with water absorption. I'll did this about 4-6 times until the water remained almost perfectly clear after an hour soaking. At this point, the seeds had enough water they could be crushed on the table with the flat side of my fingernail.
Left em out of water over night to let them dry a little. Not sure if I did this part right (and sorry if I start jacking this thread, but OP probably needs this info as well ) but when I put the seeds in the jars to be PCed, they were still damp. If I ran my hand through the seeds, my hand would be a little damp, but it's not like the seeds were clumping or anything, and no water would drip if i squeezed them. In the jars, they roll around, but some are stuck up on the walls.
This is all just practice right now, first go with seeds.
