fully colonized jars quick question
    #19328902 - 12/26/13 01:34 PM (10 years, 1 month ago)

So being the idiot iam i knocked up some popcorn and they colonized in about 9 days i figured they would take at least 3 weeks but unfortunately all my family came to visit for xmas and stayed in my house for about 2 weeks so i wasn't able to do anything with the fully colonized jars so my question is.. My jars have been fully colonized for about 15-17 days I've been checking everyday to make sure no contams took hold, nothing, just a bit of metabolites on the side of the jars, but will waiting this long effect the yield or success of my grow? And should i just start over?  thanks in advance sorry for the long ass post.

Info:
4 quarts of popcorn kept in a dark closet with a constant temp of 72 degrees

It's possible your yield will be affected, but go ahead and spawn them anyway.  The absolutely worst that could happen if you spawn them is you lose $1.50 in coir, and guaranteed the best that could happen if you toss them is you lose the grain, the spore solution and nine days worth of waiting.

A white liner is better than none at all, but IMO you'll find it worthwhile to get some black ones.
